Commander CdrPlatypus- a readout of the western systems is necessary at this point. Our consensus is leaning sharply towards colonizing forcefully westward. There are three systems that must not come under Xeno control.

If Alta Mesa has decided that the use of spies is the best way to bring advantage to their faction they will soon learn that they are not the only Clan here who remembers the old ways. Moklumnue remembers well...

Clan Moklumnue will not be dragged through the mud as if we are some Shalun-damned Syndicate who knows nothing of honor. As CdrPlatypus rightly knows, honor is a matter of deeds and not the wind of words. We, who's work fills the coffers of the empire, we, who scrape by on the least this quandrant has to offer for our colony worlds, we, who carry our weight in the rebuilding of the fleet, we know of honor. We know of the sacrifice that comes from scratching out an existence on worlds barely fit for human habitation. No offense was surely meant, @rearick. These are troubling times, to be sure. Some may take such strongly worded speeches as an attempt at sedition. We have no more spies in your chambers than perhaps you have in our own. Ours are not paid to incite quarrels, but to inform us of the daily goings on, deliberations that we cannot be a part of due to our own governing, and any attempts to subvert Templar Authority itself. Our spy would not have brought this to lixxx235's attention had he or she thought the words were meaningless.

We cannot be responsible for the bringing of this news to CdrPlatypus's attention, nor are we responsible for the words you yourselves speak. We are not trying to sway the Templar to or from any faction, merely we wish them to know what is said behind their back. Now to a personal matter. We find no fault with ntsheep and if he feels he needs to be punished we would request his punishment to be to return to his dutes and to prove him self. Frankly he is a good negotiator and as we enter a war footing he is needed.

For those clans that feel hurt or disrespected.... suck it up. Now more than ever we have to work as one. Now is the time for soldarity. We have councils so we can talk things through, find solutions to our problems and not stab each other or our templer leader in the back.

We vote for proposition two (well 2 and 1 as we prose we rush there and build back )and after discusion with Alta mesa we would like to colanise the 2 red and 1 yellow plant in the middle.

Alta mesa would take the furthest red, as our good friends Moklumnue have been unfortunate with there colanise, if they agree we would wish them to have the yellow planet and we would take the bottom red.

This is the proposal as it stands from us and Alta Mesa. I hope Clan Moklumnue will agree.

This plan gives us the best postion to allowe home to grow and make a good defense.

torvus I will allow ntsheep to give his thoughts on this matter from his cell. It seems your clan still holds him in a very high esteem. Rest assured he is being treated in accordance with the law and we are working to form a proper tribunal as quickly as possible. We are having trouble finding enough of his peers to form a proper jury though. (What do you mean you can't find 12 space sheep?! 10's of BILLIONS of refugees and you can't find me 12 space sheep?!...alright alright I'll eat a spice snickers....I'm just saying I only need 12. @lixxx235 The High Templar is well in formed and understands that people let their emotions get ahead of their brains. I have more important things to worry about at the moment. He is always welcome to challenge me to a proper duel if he wishes.

Now then on to the matter of the Xeno and our response. It seems we have a relative consensus to colonize the 2 red, and 1 yellow system to the west as our opening move. 

I propose Mok be given the yellow star in light of the unfortunate events surrounding their 2nd and 3rd colonies.
This would give Alta Mesa and Zenrin a red each. Is this a satisfactory division to all parties? Let me know.

Regarding research we will return to matters of infrastructure after we have regained enough to field a proper fleet. Please be patient and remember that Xenos do not accept credits.

I am glad to hear that I have many supporters calling for my release. We of Zenrin are proud and our word is our strength. I gave my word that should Xenos be found, or find us, I would turn myself in. I am most proud that everyone is still attempting to work together in my absence. Please continue to do so. What ever my fate may be, do not let petty disagreements or misunderstandings get in the way of the Empires rise to glory. Please also understand that Templar gundamgoth is just doing his duty. The High Templar would like to make some proposals:

Our RP/Turn has gotten to a nice base we can research each faction tech for 10/turns each. I propose Researching Mok 1 and Alta 1 at this time, Zenrin we can also go for your tech if you wish.

We have unlocked blueprints for a basic fleet now I suggest we go back to infrastructure research for a while (the primes are about capped) then we can return to military. Its a hard balance to keep the empire going.

We also need to land more colonies besides the already selected 3 western systems. It seems we are experiencing a baby boom and need more space for the growing population.

There is enough production etc now that I need long term direction to run more than a few turns at a time, so I need input as to how you all want the game to be run.

Short cycles with debate over all research etc...or longer cycles based on a longer general plan that the Templar tries to follow faithfully to the best of his ability?

thoughts please, from everyone not just one per clan this is a total player input decision

I am fine with the longer turn cycles. This way the game will progress faster and will avoid stagnation as the number of decisions grow exponentially larger.

That said, I do like the way we can provide input and debate the more immediate things, so perhaps a compromise is in order. With regards to colony management, the more automated the better in my opinion. An enlarged version of the NCBO may prove the answer to this.

Research may be more targeted in that a list like we are currently making should be sufficient to mark out a
Strategy for a reasonable length of time.

With regards to fleet orders, they can be given as directives that provide CdrPlatypus with our strategy.


All of the above is just my opinion. Whatever we decide I will still be enjoying this experience!
