I warned you all, and you accused me of to much spice!!! I hope this council has learnt a valid leason hear.
Now gentlemen it is time to get a fighter or 2 in the air as a speed bump while research some new defences. I call for you all to contact your government's and make hast in your deliverances.
Great templer, I am sure you will see some changes to our current orders and ask you to bear with us. Now I sugest we adjourn to our council chambers and move our plans forward.
It is easy to worry about comerce and wealth but they mean nothing without your life.
We are Adjourned Great leaders, let us now plan for our future.
I do ask Lord templer, if the area can be scaned for xeno ships. ..... knowledge is power

General Torvus, you were right about the Xeno presence.
However, without the work we have put into research and development, we would not have the 600+ credits a turn that we now enjoy. Build wharever you want, because that number will only grow. Soon the starports and exchanges will balloon that number to a fleet sustaining figure.
Members of the Great Clans. We make our stand here. I just had the platinum polished on the Palatial Orbital Station. The Gold overlay will be finished next month. I will not lose another days profits to these invaders. Perhaps this is one of their homeworlds. Let us build our fleets, stabilize and mobilize a ground invasion force, and lay waste to this abomination.
But do not neglect your planning though. Overextention destroyed our civilization at rhe AE. Build carefully, with a long term goal, and we shall create the dreaded death ball fleet.
I agree General Torvus, back to your council chambers. Let us plan.
Whew...
Man that was a good speech. Alright, who's up for a spice sauna?
What? What's still on...

torvus I see you too are a student of Sun Tsu. Unfortunately our intrepid explorer is running on fumes and the only other 2 ships we have, the Templar Cruisers, are our sole defense at the moment. We need more ships before continuing to scout.

Templar CdrPlatypus, I'm here to turn myself in for punishment. I have failed my clan and the others with taking to long to negotiate leaving us vulnerable to attack now. There were those that wanted ships and I convinced them otherwise. In my attempts at peace with others, I may have doomed us all. I am ready and willing to die believing that what I did was for the betterment of my clan and the glory of Shalun.

With the unanimous support of the Representatives of the Great Clan of Alta Mesa:High Templar CdrPlatypus and the honorable Delegates of the Assembly of Great Clans: In light of the most recent developments, colonising western worlds seems to be a very pressing issue. As we in Alta Mesa can not only produce warships faster, but can send out Colony Ships much more quickly as well, we should lay claim to at least two of the western worlds. In respect to this, we should also send our Templars to guard those systems against Xeno infestation.

The Zenrin Warrior Corps agree with the Honorable Alta Mesa representatives. We must capture new worlds and expand our shipbuilding capabilities to at least Cruiser capabilities. Wolf Cruisers and Strike Fighters will serve as our first line of defense against the Alien. We must sterilize any Alien Colony ships before they gain a foothold near our Systems!

Since you have not been betrayed, at least not by your close friends of Clan Moklumnue, and we have not been attacked, your death would be premature. Templar, please ask the crazed butcher Cg, with the velcro gloves, to step away. Really, one Xeno report and everyone wants blood. If Even if Clan Zenrin would offer you up, you'd have a home with us. Besides, unless we have the insanity of rage with us, how will we win. And you sir are truly insane. Says so on your nametag.

As I said in the Zenrin council chambers, we haven't been attacked yet,and it was a good plan...it just had impressively bad timing. So don't be to hasty representative ntsheep.

Guards! Detain that sheep at once and escort him to the brig!
ntsheep you are honorable for surrendering yourself and such honor will be factored into your tribunal, but such failures as yours at this time could cost humanity it's survival. You must be judged by the laws of Shulan.

En1gma, Brutus Aurelius , torvus , sheffTemplar command will be retooling our research and production to the war effort. That has been decided. But the High Templar would like your input on our strategy in addressing this xeno threat. I see Three Options: 1.) Containment: Rush a colony right onto the Xeno's doorstep. This will create a wide buffer zone between the xeno colony and us, but they could colonize behind the initial defensive line and it could amount to poking a hornets' nest with a stick. 2.) Colonize Westward, but not as far out. There is a yellow system and 2 red systems to are immediate west flank. Expanding slower in this direction would give us a continuous supply line of green space towards the xenos and allow and allow us to build up hopefully without provoking the xeno too much. More of a creep towards them. 3.) We could keep our heads down and explore North and attempt to explore north without confronting this xeno colony head on. I would like a council vote on this matter as soon as possible. 1 vote per clan. Please.

sheff ntsheep has surrendered himself for judgment. This is a concern between Templar Command and his clan Zenrin. Also it would dishonor ntsheep to not give him a chance to clear his guilty conscious and redeem his soul before Shulan. ( do sheep have souls...I must confer with the science dept)You may object, but you would do well to remember your place. One does not make demands of Justice.

**PRIORITY TRANSMISSION**
Initial Report from Templar Commands War Coordination Office:
All Prime Colonies have completed construction of a lvl 1 (not upgraded in any way) strike fighter to contribute to an emergency response fleet.
Templar Cruisers have been moved to the western flank in anticipation of possible xeno incursion.
Research in Starship Construction 2-3 has been completed. This allows us to build wolf cruisers and has unlocked an armor plating upgrade. Research on Starship Construction 4, which will allow us to build carriers allowing us to field a fleet in deep space to pursue the xeno has been started. Anticipated Completion 8 turns.
Templar command proposes Researching Starship Construction 5 to unlock Scanning and Explore training so that additional scouts can be built as well as military 1 to unlock ship refueling (there are also some nifty upgrade modules in military 1). After that we should discuss as a council where to take our research.
Alta Mesa has completed a Mark II Colony ship. We need to decide on our strategy before going any further so we may assign it a system to colonize.
The High Templar awaits your input.
**end transmission*

High Templar gundamgoth, I would ask for leniency for Councilor Ntsheep. His reasoning was sound,he just...had impressively bad timing. It was a good plan and the good sheep was working towards the goal of uniting the Clans on a research path.

High Templar, unless you plan to arrest me, I do not have be silent on this matter. Your Order is in pieces, and you have no authority over Clan Moklumnue.
I know my place, Lord Templar.
And we do not claim any authority over this sheep. We express deep concern over the fact that the man(sheep?) has committed no crime, and yet our already sparse resources are being used, wasting time with guilty consciences.
Am I to be taken into custody as well? It was my suggestion and pursuit of negotiations that has led to this.
Clan Moklumnue calls on Clan Alta Mesa and Clan Zenrin to make a clear stance here. If a member of Clan Zenrin has committed some impropriety, let them take him, and judge him themselves. It's their business. Not that of this council. ntsheep make a decision based on his Clan's laws and government, as did we. As this council, headed by the Lord High Templar, requested. If we start to second guess ourselves, we are already dead men.
We are not the civilization we left behind. The Great Clans must concern themselves with our defenses!
Now. Great Clans. Do we stick with our current research or not? We have not seen ships, and we have no indication that any fleet is on it's way to us. We could easily continue our current strategy without ill effects, however, would we want to modify our goals to include researching the ability to bombard and/or invade this abomination?
*snaps fingers*
Two men step forward with carrying a variety of food. Too much stress makes for hasty decisions. Relax. We have work to do.
