torvus- Welcome to our chambers, I hope the trip here was without incident. As our Templar leader is requiring our vote, let us get down to business. It would indeed be an issue for us. We are willing to put ourselves in harm's way by putting ourselves in front of the Xeno. We must have a Star Forge on the rim if we wish to have the best chance of victory and security. We want it for nothing other than its position in the sector- we have seen no readouts on the system, nor is the quality or mineral count something we are overtly concerned with.

Funny we want it to protect the comunity too. My clan feels a need to protect everyone from xenos. I knew this might be an issue which is why i agreed to take the sothern at first. However without the calming inflance of the sheep..... Why thank yes...... mmmmmm good spice Sorry where was i, oh yes, without the calming influance of ntsheep my colleagues feel the should defend the nation single handedly. Hence the denounciation of my vote in the templers chambers *sigh* I must say i am pleased with the warm greating and pleasent service you offer Now where was i, ah what shall we do to move forward gentlmen

I'm trying to see the reason Zenrin would want the frontline for themselves. I realize you have seen more war than any of us, and I respect that you would bear the brunt of the Xeno attacks. Understanding that your people are a hardened bunch, and therefore resistant to morale loss could prove useful, but if I recall correctly the Mok clan will be taking the yellow system (in the center?) which would leave our Star Forge farthest from where it is most needed. If you would, Honorable torvus, return to your chambers with this message: Allow Alta Mesa to have the system on the border. Our Forge will be necessary to stem the flow of the Xeno hoard, and while we respect your wish to fight the Xeno single handed, Alta Mesa is best suited to do so. We will have great need of your Barges once we begin to drive the Xeno from the quadrant, but for now- please allow Alta Mesa to bear this burden. Thank you, torvus for always being so agreeable as the primary representative of Zenrin as of late. Your presence is always a welcome and enlightening one.

What would we do without you, Spokesperson En1gma? Apart from spend our time actually talking to the other factions, anyway?

Proposed: In recognition of the large number of star systems available, Alta Mesa votes that the current system of assigning rights to colonize star systems to factions be abolished and be replaced with the following system: - Rights to colonize are on a per-colony-ship basis. That is, the High Templar no longer assigns deeds to planets, but rather issues permits to build colony ships.
- When a colony ship is built, the High Templar may use his discretion regarding which system it will colonize, taking into account factors including but not limited to each faction's unique bonuses and upgrades.

Whereas several times proposals have been brought before the Council of Great Clans with various levels of support required, I have a draft proposal on Google Drive to create a procedure for determining the level of support needed from the factions before a proposal before the Council of Great Clans is adopted. Would anyone like to see it?

/Facepalm... Bring me the scout responsible for this horrendous colonization effort! Ninety lashes for this, and be happy we don't bury you in the foundations of the Star Forge we shall construct on this useless planet. At least you had the foresight to find us a few minerals to work with, else you would have been slowly suffocated in an airlock. Now get out of my sight! Gentlemen, I believe that Templar Command is exactly right concerning our next research path. Faction Techs will be vital to both our economy and our military. CdrPlatypus, our Commander, do we have planetary defense forces we can muster? If not, then perhaps we could begin researching them at some point?

Any thoughts on the Google Doc I posted above, or should a summary be prepared, a copy forwarded to the High Templar, and a vote be taken here to get approval to propose it to the Council of Great Clans?
