I agree. Pushing for Starship Construction 4 and it's side branches for Fighters and Cruisers will allow us to make a provisional defensive force for our worlds. However, we should pursure Faction Diplomacy 3 first, as to secure improved trade and treaty.

Planetary Defense 1 would give us FDF Garrison may be good. It's give not only defense but 1 hab unit. It's getting time almost to start thinking about ship building. A CP of at least 5 or more would be best since this would allow us to build ship quickly. The Moks have proposed letting their first clan research be done for the amount of TP that would benefit all. I believe this may be a good choice to back them and I'm sure it will benefit us more later. I agree with you Brutus Aurelius that going for SC4 is the best choice for research now. |

Perhaps once we have researched and designed our Guardian fleets, we should focus on Mok 1. I feel that we need to have our active defenders in place before we expand the economy more. By the time research and development are complete, we will have a nice cash buffer to work with.

Hmmmmm this is difficult. If we let them they would owe us one  But frankly we are not alone in this system and ship designs need greater tech advancements. We NEED those ships befor the foul ste.... xenos push to us and attack. We could lock the whole council into a deal though... If we do this now, this will be done no matter what...... Discuse |

Greetings, Delegates of the Great Clan Zenrin. I come to you to discuss the proposal brought forth by the Mok Clan. This is too important of a decision to be left to a simple majority. We are prepared to acquiesce to their request only if it is a unanimous decision. We will at some point be forced to research Orbital Tradeways, it is matter of when. If the unanimous consensus is to do it sooner, then so be it. If not, then we will all need to compromise.
We are willing to do it sooner, for the record. It is in your hands, and I urge you to enter deliberations with the Mok clan soon.

I'm of a mind with torvus, there's no telling when the Xenos are going to come over the horizon ready to eat our colonists 0_0 I'd feel better if we could defend ourselves. All the credits in the Quadrant won't be worth a single bent torp if we're all alien chow...

How can we come to a compromise on this issue? We understand the need for more powerful fleets, however, we also do not like the state of our colony worlds. We can not continue to rely on the Prime worlds. Can we integrate ship research into another, more balanced approach?
