Not sure if this has been requested or not, so feel free to delete a double post...
I would LOVE to see a new technology added to create a Colony Module (rename of course) that would claim and defend a system WITHOUT accepting refugees. Nothing could be built on the claimed system except for Mines and Defensive Upgrades. Could have a base CP to make up for the lack of Factories, maybe set at 4? FOB would still refuel and repair as usual, but could open up new tech in the way of repair/refuel upgrades (?)
I only ask because when a Xeno system is purged, often the system is left useless with a low Quality rating. It would make sense that these factions would not be sending BILLIONS of refugees to live on such a broken and endangered system. Much more likely at least to me would be that the military would set up a FOB to continue the operation.

This sounds like a really good idea. I mean what exactly am I supposed to do with a 3 Quality wreak of a planet? At best it's a refueling station...

In the politics of the Star Trader's Quadrant, the Zendu Senate pays Faction Independent Star Traders to operate and staff FOB.
The resulting 4X implementation is again unique and clever (but not like other 4X games, grumble, grumble) allowing the player to convince Factions to temporarily, or permanently, surrender a Colony to Independent control.

Politics = credits with a different name Are you saying that there is a treaty that will reclaim a planet from independants, or that one will be added?

I think that mines on only millitary planets is not much realistic idea - they should be rather logistic centeres - same like this days army camps also check this out startradersrpg.proboards.com/post/121242/thread
