Been playing the game like crazy since I joined these boards. The more I play, the more things I notice, all overwhelmingly positive. I'm going to try and limit my thread creation since I tend to be overzealous, given how open to suggestions the Trese Brothers are.
PLEASE feel free to direct me to other threads if I'm just creating existing topics, I'd be more grateful than anything else.
1. The big orange shortcut icons on the colony screen, I'm playing a game now where I have an insane amount of treasury funds (by my limited standards) and I'm not at war yet. Is there any way to subsidize improvements through the shortcuts? I love that they're smart, where they'll suggest to either build or improve colony buildings, but I rarely use them since I subsidize almost everything right now. I feel like there'd be room for a button underneath them in the colony screen.
2. Would it be feasible to add ship HP bars on the map, like small ones underneath? I've never had a game with more than 14-ish ships but I've admittedly only played one game to the end, and started a bunch. Not sure if this is possible or desired. I think on larger maps it'd help a lot once the war starts, to be able to make quick decisions as to what to move without touching each ship to see the top screen HP display.
3. Am I misremembering, or did the blue target...circle...not disappear before the firing animation started once a target is chosen? I feel like now the overlay stays after the firing animation happens, where before it didn't.
4. The CP and maintenance indicators at the bottom are virtually useless to me right now. I remember reading somewhere, in a strategy post or a how to play video that they're supposed to be really helpful indicators of economic health. Can something be done about them, or am I being dumb about it? I feel like at one point the maintenance indicator was an x/y format.
5. Same thing for xeno levels. I feel like they're really important but can't tell what they mean in relation to my own tech. I just realized I can touch the xeno factions and see their level, didn't know that was a thing.
