Long time player of 4X/avid Sci-Fi fan. Love this game! Before discovering this game, I had been looking for a high quality Sci-Fi strategy game for a long time... It literally made my month when I found this.
I love the relatively recent (I started playing this game a week after it was released) addition of the direct links for specific types of upgrades on the colony summary page. It is extremely helpful, especially late game, to be able to press the population bar and bring up just the upgrades which will add to this, as well as the "factories active" bar.
Might I suggest, though, adding some additional links like these? I was especially thinking of linking the mines one to the upgrades which mine, the morale to spice halls, exchanges, merchant academies, etc, and the system quality text to terraforming reactors. This would significantly improve the accessibility of these colony features.
Also, it would be nice if there were two tabs for each of these; new upgrades and existing upgrades. Don't know of this is possible, but it would be really nice if it were.
Lastly, it would be great if there was some indication on the summary screen about Terraforming reactors being used. In was thinking on the system quality text adding a "+2" for level 1, "+3" for level 2, etc.
