The game is great, but the missions are redundant. What i think should be implemented are these,
1. When factions are warring, one faction will give you a contract to destroy X amount of enemy faction's ships (military ships only) within so many weeks.
2. Certain worlds will be drained of resources, and will contract you to bring back large amounts of a certain supply.
3. During a trade war, a warring faction will tell you to destroy X amount of freighters from the other faction.
4. when escorting people, there should be a priority level. low level priority should be low pay, low encounter. high priority should be high pay, higher encounter rate, forced battles and much lower retreat possibilities.
5. Clear area of "certain faction" ships. go to deep space and destroy X amount of ships of a certain faction.
6. supply warfare. a faction will tell you to go to a certain world and purchase all of that planet's spice/electronics/artifacts/etc to disrupt their economy.
things like that. the other thing i would like to see but doesn't matter at all would be the pictures at the bottom of the contract screen. they should be relative to the contract. an escort mission should have a picture of a person, a supply run should be a picture of supplies, etc. but the pictures might be random so i can see why.

Thanks for the e-mail and the post. Getting additional feedback from players via the forum is definitely an excellent way to improve the suggested features.
I'm hard at work on #2 and while #4 isn't exactly clearly stated to the player, the relative rating of the passenger is calculated by the game (based on conflict, home world and rumors.)
I'm very sure (from a design standpoint) that the missions are not redundant, but as your e-mail stated, they can become somewhat repetitive after a while, especially if you play a pure "Contracts" character (which, although fun, often isn't tactically advantageous.)
The final suggestion would add a heavy art requirement and is currently outside of our current goal list.
The images shown are not random -- they are the same image you will see on the bridge of the ship when you visit that sector in your ship, and click "Bridge" to locate the completion action.
Great post and I appreciate the feedback via either e-mail or on the forum.
