Not sure if this is a problem or not. Its complex to explain.
If the total amount of points (6/9) is not filled I can add and change gear in any category(armor, weapons, etc)
If these points are filled, I can downgrade to a lesser item with no problem(level 3 down to level 2). However I cannot change my mind and reupgrade without getting the error "armor overflow"
I have to remove another piece of gear, then upgrade the above to level 3.
Either this is a bug or a level 3 item takes more points(8/9) than a level 2.
Hope this makes sense. I just looking for clarification.

anvil - I am not sure I understand the exact result. At no time can you make a change that allows you to go over Gear Level. You also cannot unequip any weapons or armor -- only swap. However, you can unequip gear -- just tap on the top row in the table to unequip. You can easily get back to 6/9 but going and unequipping all gear, and then switching to the 2 GL cost weapons and armor. I hope that helps!

I believe I understand.
If I am at gear level 9, this would read 9/9 bottom center of the equip screen.
If I removed a level 2 item, I could not replace it with a higher level piece of gear as I would be,, 10/9, which won't happen. This generates the "armor flow" dialog.
I have no suggestions as to how to make this clearer in the game, but feel it is not intuitive as to how this works. Just my subjective input.

anvil - if you remove a 2 GL item, you'd see "7/9"
