Instead of mashing 'New Ship Plan' button in Urban Zone's Star Dock, I suggest to replace it with 'Ships For Sale!' or something alike button. Pushing one will show you the first ship for sale and swiping the screen left/right will display other ones (if there are any).
It will also get rid of 'Review Plans' button since it would not be needed anymore.
Does it make any sense?

It makes a lot of sense.. and I like the idea. I'm hoping this is something that is feasible programatically

hayenne, I think what you said does make sense but in my mind I would probably prefer to see a the "Review Plans" menu when selecting the "New Ship Plan" button. It would also eliminate the review plans button. My thoughts are more along the lines of making it more consistent with the "Rank Ships" interface and also meaning if you are looking for a ship other than say a shuttle it would make it easier, especially if you are on a planet with many ships for sale. i.e. you could ignore the shuttle entries and just select the ship plans you want to look at, rather than have to view them all, simply to see what is available.
I do like the swipe idea as well though, I've often thought to myself how annoying it is at times to scroll through ship upgrades just to get to the upgrade area you're interested in and maybe scroll past it without realising and having to go back. I'd love these categories to be either collapsible/expandable (like folders in file explorer tree views) or maybe swipe left or right for each upgrade category "page" to view them rather than one long list of everything.
I suppose the biggest thing though is coding it and that will only happen if others would also like such features in the UI.

most of those suggestions are already on the list and something i'd like to do.
Keep in mind that many Android phones don't have very good support for touchscreen swipes and scrolls on the same view. All of ST RPG is scrollable swipes won't really probably be added in any effect.
