0.0.10 Android 4.4.2 Samsung GS4 (yes, haven't changed to the new phone yet ...)
Situation. Turn start. Captain has 5AP 6MP 1. Captain moves to square adjacent to Xeno. Captain down to 5AP 4MP 2. Captain attacks Xeno (cost 2AP). Captain down to down to 3AP 2MP 3. Xeno counter attacks Captain (damage or block as usual) 4. Captain auto-counter attacks Xeno counter attack (damage or block as usual). Captain down to 1AP 0MP!
Wait. What?!? The auto-defensive attack wasn't initiated by me, as player. As such I don't believe the captain's auto defense should coast 2AP (and the corresponding 2MP)

Possible long term fix, but short term that's the rules of the game.
For now, they're applied consistently across the board and are pretty balanced.
I can see the emotional argument about AP action linking, but player started the battle.
If possible, will fix and update/document/seek consistency in follow up efforts.
