Mind:8 Perception:5 Negotiate: 11
Money ¥31598764 (Note **the Yen symbol gets pushed outside the box to the left due to so many digits**)
I just bought a Dallllterix NaviComp PortaCPU rating 10 storage 4200MP, jobs 5.
They retail at 166K at Mars Corp Importer up in Charlesbank. They sell for 215K at the run down Pawn Broker in Copley Square. This is a very short trip, selling like 100 units takes the time.
That's 50K profit on every model every time you go to the shops.
I have 31.5M credits, I feel this ability to get 30% increase when trading makes the game too easy.
Equally you can buy the Maglocks for 4K and sell for 5.2K or even the cybernews computers for 100 and sell for 130.
I have deleted all implants now and am just on an XP hunt since earning money is not an object of the game anymore.
I wish also when you buy property it would not let you buy houses you already own, and maybe tell you the location of the safehouse before you buy it.

While I think about it, since this is the Tom thread I also would really like there to be a phone in the safehouses, you have a phone at home right? I would be cool if you could set the set-off-on-foot destination outside the current city block in the mini map. It would be nice once you get a V-chip contact if it said who they were working for, or which factions pay data they buy. When engaging in combat it would be nice if it told you if it was an assasinate job or a capture job, I forget which one I'm on sometimes and have to run away to gain space to use item to check pda to check which job I am on. Apart from that, great game

Ok, there's the negotiate skill! I think it only makes sense that an 11 can get those kinds of prices for high end computers. Isn't that "world class" skill? Perhaps there should be a Rogue Trader that attempts to out deal the player's reputation, if the character gets too much money or negotiate high enough....could turn out badly or get a better offer of spacefarer credits(a hard currency) or something else that scales with the player character economically.

The problem here is with the pawn shop's willingness to buy high end computers for top dollar and having an unlimited budget and appetite for such deals =)

If the Pawn Broker have millions in his bank account, why is his shop run-down?

Ooh, economic fluxuations would be awesome, but probably crazy programming. If crazy programming is what will be required, ST:RPG basically is a living proof of what these brothers and team could do.

Negotiate at 14... 97,00,000 Whoo hoo! I'm rich! By the way at N=14 strange things happen in the consignment store!!!
On the down side I've irked Aztec so much getting a N=14 I will have to stay in a hotel 2,348 times to lose my heat! : )
All this is meant in fun Corey. It is a great game and I look forward to thousands of hours of playing it as it develops!!

Hmmmm. I'd rather be of the opinion that different people get enjoyment from a game in various ways especially games that allow a diversity of actions. I get a thrill from achieving 97,000,000 that you might not get. On the other hand I think the guys that spend hours and hours mapping and tabulating data are nuts!! : P
I'm sorry if I offended you personally in some way. I was expressing MY enjoyment of the game. Play as you like.

i was joking, guy, take it easy! i meant no offense! you said you look forward to playing for thousands of hours AS IT DEVELOPS! what about once its fully developed? it was a joke i was trying to make. i was being sarcastic. If you are only looking forward to playing AS it develops, then maybe you wouldnt enjoy it AFTER its developed. it was just a play on words. i tried to put in the smiley face so that you knew i was just making a joke. sorry if i ticked ya off, i promise, it wasn't my intention! i think the smiley that is sticking out his tongue doesn't properly convey the "sticking your tongue out" feeling. personally, i think that smiley looks like he just licked a turd, and is afraid to put his tongue back in his mouth....

It's all good. Not mad or offended. I enjoy reading all the forum stuff but I feel I don't have much to contribute so I was just trying to throw in a penny's worth and maybe make someone chuckle.
In all honesty I probably took your reply incorrectly but that's a emotional issue I have, not your fault.
Let's put all this behind us and move along chummer! : ) <- the only smiley I know how to make

haidao - all input is welcome. Thanks for the team here on this thread for pointing out a bug and helping us figure out what to do about it. I have dispatched the war-hunds to your individual locations, good night, Knights.
