Too many Sentry turrets

I used the turret supply ordnance twice and had 5 turrets out. I went to make a sixth turret and it gave me the message "too many Sentry turrets." This makes sense from a balance standpoint, but it used up my last turret point.

Can you make it so that the message is displayed but the last turret isn't wasted?

Also, I went into negative SP purchasing two turret resupplies.

How are you purchasing the Ordnance that you were able to get -SP? Double tap, the button?
