So, I have a multi-touch screen on my Android device. In all menus I should be able to SWIPE to dismiss/abort, there are many other use cases, here are some examples.
In all cases a prompt, "you are doing blah, continue", but with a tick box to say "don't remind me again". This should also be in the main menu, so I can turn it back on after I disable it.
Planet Build Screen SWIPE right to abort SWIPE left to subsidise (Why can't I subsidise at any time??? obviously only once and only if there is more than 30% remaining) SWIPE up and down to drag things in the queue
Notifications SWIPE right to dismiss SWIPE left to remind me next turn (This helps me to work through the turn actions, and dismiss the ones I don't/can't action now or are only informative)
Research (Start in the current working list, not the dam tech web, this kills me everytime) SWIPE right - Abort SWIPE left - change research screen (tech web, current research list, known tech, etc)
These are just some examples, there are so many... Usage needs to be cleaner.

Especially swapping between un/known tech. That's a nightmare.

Thanks for the feedback. We could do so much more to improve and I hope we can!
Cross-platform gesture support is something we are working on, in cooperation with the team that makes our game engine.
If we're able to get it working for all the users I think it would improve hundreds, if not thousands of games.

PS: if you are unhappy with your mobile experience ... PLEASE, just email cory.trese@gmail.com and I will walk you through getting a FULL refund, no problems.
We're just one developer and one artist, so we cannot fix issues as fast as big companies and our ability to push the engine team around is pretty small since we're not in the top 10 or anything like that.
So, that said -- it make take months of us working nights and weekends to get additional gesture support added to the engine. I'd offer the refund if you don't feel like it is worth the wait.
Thanks!!!

Thanks!!! What about that "subsidize any time" idea? I just got way too excited when I saw that part. Could that be in the cards someday? Thanks for the hard work and providing these games of actual substance for us.

I'm not going to ask for a refund. I feel I am getting my moneys worth just getting a response from the devs... lol There is a lot of crap software out there, that may have started good but languished and died a slow death, that I'll never see my few bucks again. I can aford the price of a couple of cups of coffee for many hours of play time. And plus I get the added benefit of complaining here about how awesome this game is. I know you have done kickstarter campaigns for full games, but what about seeking a quote from India or Korean to do a small portion of software dev, like this, and then run a kickstarter to fund it? Or at least float the idea here first and poll it. Other than that, this lack of swipe UI, isn't driving me away.

giddion - thanks for the suggestions. We've got enough KickStarter commitments on our plate and aren't planning to run another until we've met them.
