Would you play this kind of game? Do you already play?
Would you play a free version? What if it had a monthly subscription cost of $3?

I've never played a game like this before so I'm not sure. There's a lot of unknowns for me. When does a turn start\end in the day. What happens if I can't make it for a turn decision. I've never liked the idea of a monthly subscription to games. That right there is why I don't play with some of my friends. Even if it was free, or ad supported, still not sure.

I guess I should have included "Maybe" as an option instead of "I Hate You"

I guess I should have included "Maybe" as an option instead of "I Hate You" I was thinking about pointing that out and selecting "I Hate You" because you didn't have a "Maybe"

Need some details. What style of game? Would there be a single time pay option instead of a monthly? I would likely play a game like this, but I would be ready for some serious backlash (not from me) if it feels too much like a pay to play game, as your fan base has likely stayed around as long as they have BECAUSE you never went down that road...
My vote is a tentative yes on this one...

It would be pay to play, not pay to win.
If we cannot afford to pay for servers, then we cannot host multiplayer games.
It's either we collect and sell your personal data, or we ask players to pay.
We'd have a free realm and a pay realm, and the map and features in paid would be larger.
Paying players would also be allowed to create their own private games.

Quick question : will the game be set in the ST universe or a brand new one (or another of your existing ones) ?

In this case, I would certainly pay to play this type of game, so long as my information stays with you and is not sold. People have been asking for multi-player games for as long as I've been on the forum, so I think this would be a welcome addition to your collection of games.

Do you guys have any examples of what you're talking about? I can't quite get me head around it. I would need to know more before deciding. I would also be afraid of committing to playing a turn-a-day. What if I can't make it, do I leave all the other players waiting?

No, the turn would roll without you and the AI would take over for the day and do your orders. It would be a strategy game.

Lets say for example, we created a game based on ST 4X where everyone controlled one faction in very large map.
You would give orders to your units and colonies once per day. If the server didn't receive your turn, it would do something fairly smart on your behalf (defend itself, spend your CP on projects, etc.)
What if paying players could create games with different turn rates? Like create a every 2 days, or once a week game?

(100 turns would be 700 days, which is almost 2 years)
