Hi, I have a question. With my spy I worked myself out to have positive relations with everyone, and finally learned how to spy efficently too But then when I was good enough, I decided to go for achievements (Contractors are now ridiculously easy, but as two of them are for elite, I did only Exemplar to get Ships of Honor II). After I had it, I decided to go for looting achievement, so I designated two factions as my enrmies and started ignoring their trade embargoes too, which resulted in having relations -124 with Steel song, but keeping Death warrant and military Rank 6. But then boom, a warship! It was red, and I didn't want to lose my rank just yet. But there still was an Acknowledge button and as I was a ranking officer, they said I had nothing to fear from a Warship. I ignored her, because once I met a warship and despite being a ranked officer, it searched me for contraband, but did not steal anything, even though my hold was full of records and electronics ) anyway, these relations were less than 0, but not enough to be executed Anyway, what would happen in case I had relations where they execute me, but... I still have my military rank?

When your relations get bad enough your rank gets stripped from you.

They won't execute you if you have sufficient Rank.
They will also honor your Trade Permits and license to possess Weapons.
If you have "Wanted" flag, and Rank they might execute you if you have negative reputation.

When your relations get bad enough your rank gets stripped from you. I had relations worse than -120, yet still I had my military rank. Military rank gets stripped for military actions or contraxts against the planet. As long as you violate only the trade embargo (maybe even spy war records embargo), you lose only Trade permit, but death warrant still protects you from bounty hunters and you still have your rank. When you ignore a military ship, you lose your death warrant, but still have your rank. At least I had. I lost it after taking offensive action against a merchant. With Syndicate Rychart I had relations worse than -35, had no rank or trade permit, but still had a death warrant for some time

Yeah just be careful to not lose track of it because I decided to acknowledge with my first insane military officer to preserve death warrants, but when you acknowledge to two warships while performing surveillance, you lose your trade permit...

That's correct and a very important rule.

That's correct and a very important rule. I wonder though, are the crew lazy? I was doing surveillance and somehow a mutiny occured. I found a possible reason - my cargo was already full of records. That would not explain morale drops on blockades... Don't they like these for a long time, or they want luxury rations? I have to note that I was not dropping morale by being out of water fuel

Were you working against Independents?

Something caused the Mutiny, and since there is no situation where Morale loss is random ... it's on you, Captain.

Were you working against Independents? Surveillance against independents is impossible.

I wonder how then, at the time when the mutiny happened, I had 10 water-fuel, no demoralisation due to being looted by a pirate (after all, had been surveilling for over 30 turns straight, with only some warship acknowledgements) and I had intimidate skill 15 with crew 25. The only thing that goes to my mind is that the crew doesn't like too long blockades or surveillances, but is that even possible?

And you might have fought an independent ship during a surveillance/blockade mission, such as when it fails and an encounter happens.

Sounds like you might have run out of Water-Fuel and not noticed it. Otherwise, check the Event Log to see information about Morale loss.

Last time of my planetary visit the morale was 4. I sold records, bought 35 water-fuel and continued. With consumption of 0,66 per turn, I performed surveillance. When I ran down to 10 water fuel, I took a look into faction relations... Clicked on Surveillance and boom, mutiny. I was so surprised! But with 30 warrior the dmg was minor. I will look at the log, but I doubt I will find it, because lots of time passed since then. I will create a new character as well
