I'm quickly running out of friends to tell! (In a good way, don't you worry!) Time to join a new club, get some more friends Also great to update reviews! We've got some trolls on Heroes of Steel Elite who have decided to update their 1-star reviews every time someone else leaves a review so they are the newest. Not sure what we ever did to these people, but they evidently don't like Heroes! Are you talking about the guy who left the review on Google Play about too many/strong enemies? What a little weeny! It's so tempting to go on there and roast him indirectly. After a whole bunch of reviews by people saying it's a great game, wouldn't you be embarrassed to go on and say "this game kicks my butt over and over?" Honestly I don't think these kind of reviews can hurt you too much. If somebody seriously reads the reviews, they're going to see that this is a great game, and that this guy is just a whiney guy who got his ego hurt and is trying to make up for it by leaving a bad review. Honestly his review might be a selling point for me (kinda sounds like fun!), but I'm probably more drawn to the joys of masochism than some.

We worry a lot about Reviews, maybe too much sometimes.
He won't reply to us and updates it almost every day, which means it is always on the top of the "Newest" list.
We should have thicker skin about this, I suppose, but we really want to engage with unhappy customers -- if nothing else than to offer them a refund.
Leaving a one-star review means "this game broke my phone" to Google and having enough of them send you sliding down the charts (for average developers.)

A guy who's that persistent... you're never gonna please him, there's always a small group of people like that. Anywho, I gave his review a downward thumb, it does not seem useful to me.

If this person does it every day, and you've tried to respond, Google should be stepping up and removing his review and blocking him. There's no reason for that kind of behavior other than that person is a complete idiot and A-hole. People like them don't deserve to be on the internet. They're just bullies out to stroke their own ego and when you can leave a review anywhere online and not have to take responsibility for it they have a field day. Don't let this get you down Cory Trese. You've done your best to remedy the situation. Once you've done that, don't worry about it anymore. I know that one star review hurts, but look at how many four and five stars you've got. Look at all the great reviews your games have. Like I told you in another thread, you have a lot of friends

It's funny ... Star Traders RPG has 12,180 reviews and 110 of them are one star. I still stress about those 110 unhappy people.

I made a point of going there just to give him a thumbs-down last night. Too bad the result isn't more like it was back in the day of the Roman Circuses.

There's nothing you could probably do to make 95% of those people any happier. Actually I think I just discovered your new game. We'll call it Google Arena. It's a place where all the people who leave one star reviews can go and face off against the developer in a multiplayer game (not sure which one yet, maybe just some good ole fashioned Doom II). It would be the developer against all of the trolls at once to the digital death.

Maybe if they could shoot me in Doom II they'd be able to get some of that negativity out?
I don't think I've ever left a 1 star review on a game that actually ran on my phone.
Sure, 2 stars for games that were really awful ... but 1 star?
By Shalun, don't they realize what that means to Google?!?

I think it is human nature to want to convert those who are really negative towards us. These energy vampires tend to grab our attention, when our efforts and energies woould almost certainly be better spent engaging with others. Serendipitously, my sister-in-law posted this on Facebook earlier today. Edit: 900th post. Whoot! Sneaking up on an even 1,000.

12801 review. I can't say I'm in eternal love of this game, but I find it unfair if one [stupid person] can get so much attention. Downvoted some of the least useful comments too. Let there be praise!

That desire although unhealthy for your stress level is what makes TB the best in the business. It's not just a game. It's the total customer experience that sets you apart.
