Unfortunately Steam seems to be determined to not take my money and let me have a full account. So I think I'm going to give up for the time being. I think it also means that I can't do things like post screen shots.

More than happy to.

Yep as stated elsewhere. I have left my review with Steam and recommended the game. I have also gently countered the negative review, with advice that may help the writer get into TA BF. PS. Why haven't the Templars in the firat 2 missions said "Vae Victus" or what ever they normally say? "woe to the vanquished"? PPS. Thanks for the $10 Andrew.

Cg - Lol ... thanks for the review. They do say Vae Victus, Death before dishonor and the rest, but they have also gotten a bit more variety.

I wasn't trying to milk you for thanks for the review Fallen. I just thought I'd better mention it in the relevant thread, to encourage others to add one. I hope Lurker get's his Steam problem sorted out.

contributor. So you CAN play Templar Battleforce, because you did the Alpha? If so, not so bad then.

I couldn't find a single review by cg on Steam. There was one from a Maltese Falcon

Yeah, I can play it through the Alpha keys that I got. The problem is that until you actually spend money on Steam you get a Limited User Account that can't really do much. I live overseas but keep all my banking in the States, but Steam demands that my address matches my physical location. It reads my IP address to know where I am, and since Steam has it's own client I can't use the usual IP switchers to make them think I'm in the States. And for some reason their web browser interface isn't working either. Paying with Paypal I get to a page that says "Success" your transaction is almost complete...." and then nothing happens and I don't get whatever I was trying to buy so they would take the training wheels off my account. There's a few other potential work arounds but I've honestly spent to much time trying to figure it out just so I can spend more money and leave a review for BF. Maybe I'll give it some time and come back to it later. Fortunately BF is getting tons of great (raving even) reviews so I would just be one more voice in the chorus.

I remember all the stress of trying to leave a review on Steam, without handing over cash first. I thought, "I know. I'll GIFT a copy of HoS to my cousin, then Steam will know I spent some cash". Bottom line. Steam DON'T consider paying cash through gifting, to be a legitimate purchase. Ridiculous.

Actually it looks like I might be able to do that myself. Here is what Steam says about getting a full account:
Some examples of purchases that grant access to these features are: Adding the equivalent of $5 USD or more to your Steam Wallet Purchasing game(s) that are equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store Adding a Steam Wallet card that is equal to $5 USD or more to your Steam account Purchasing a Steam gift that is equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store (Receiving a Steam gift from a friend doesn't count)
I didn't really know what the wallet cards were and that they could be purchased through Paypal!

Wallet Cards are basically gift cards. You can buy them physically in stores in the US, or buy them online. Amazon may sell them as well.

Purchasing a Steam gift that is equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store (Receiving a Steam gift from a friend doesn't count) That's changed. They used to refuse to recognise gift purchases. So between that and the relaxing of the "no returns" policy, Steam is showing some definate improvements. Cory Trese. Would you still please check and see about gift cards, as I would like a way to give competition awards and prizes, and maybe that would help. I'm looking to give a prize for the first person to reach page 500, on the Torp Thread. Just need to decide WHAT to give, and whether such a mad torp stampede, would cause problems with the traffic/ advert funding. (It would be nice to give a TB MUG ).

You can buy Google Play, iTunes and Steam gift cards online and give them as keys.
