I see frequent posts here such as cadar torps ftw or filthy boot steel song and the like. Is there some like fanfic or story cause I'm not noticing this in the game( though admittedly I don't listen to a lot of rumors in game). So could someone put me up on game on this back story? Thanks and sorry of this is silly. I'm a long time player but only recently got onto this board.

Oooookay - Cadar faction is a military faction. They actually do make the best quality torps in the game. Also, there are some aspects of their ships that show their preference to torps - eg the Cadar shuttle only has torps for weapons. Overall though - Cadar captains don't torp much more than other factions. It's more a forum thing Steel Song dislike - that's really just me. I started it ... I'll perpetuate it ... and I'm proud of it. Steel Song ships terrorized me when I started out (damn steel song pirates). I swore a blood oath that they would pay - and I'm still cashing in

Oh okay so its all forum humor. You know I usually went with cadar because of nice rank ships but now since I have option I've recently been going as independent since I can get more restocks from Indy stardocks

You'll go blue in the face and pass out. I bleed Cadar blue. In all seriousness, though, this rivalry, mostly a shalyernz thing, has been going on for ages. I've loved Cadar and hated Steel Song since my very first captain, though, and that was ages before I came to this Forum. I don't know the exact reasons why other people love Cadar and hate Steel Song, but I have my own reasons. Death to Steel Song! P.S.: is it just me, or did someone else literally JUST ask this question, recently? I almost bought I was reading the same thread, until I saw that there were only three posts, so far, in this one.

Read this, misha. It's a substantially more in-depth look at the eon-old conflict between the great Cadar Syndicate, and those Steel Song peasants. Thank you for your service to this wonderful nation. What was your M.O.S.? Also: A.R.M.Y.: Ain't Ready [to be a] Marine Yet That's a crusty Marine Corps joke, for those of you who are wondering.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Try to keep in mind that this is non-canon, though. It's more...slayernz-canon.

You can't throw a cat around around here without hitting someone who's a part of the Rainbow Community (Or, what-ever their most current name is.). Yeah...another one is Ain't Really Men Yet. But, whenever a grunt gives you shit about that, just tell them that "M.A.R.I.N.E.S." stands for "My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment, Sir". That'll put them back in their place.

I'm in LA(Long beach technically) so things are pretty good for me here) and I escaped Catholicism( no offense to it just not congruent with my lifestyle/identity) and attend a reform synagogue. But I hope that more lgbt people who are still in the armed forces can get more acceptance. Because I got through by stuffing my gender identity with booze and pills while I was in army and live in sober living as a result(2 yrs since a drink or hard drug and 5 mnths since I had a joint yay)

But, try to look at the bright side; as tough as America can be to y'all, at least we aren't...well...pretty much any non-European country. In many countries around the world, they behead transsexuals. Sooooo...bright side!
