I remember hearing that closing the game application has some sort of negative effect. Does anybody know exactly what that effect is?

So far only thing I've ever noticed was may not save up to where you're at. But I've force closed loads of times(after exiting) without issue. Though now I have greenify ao I don't force close anything anymore unless misbehaves/ freezes(which star traders never has)
Edit: to be clear I'm on Android I noticed on other threads you are ios

Same as mishaadams on my Android phone and (rare as it is I use it) my Amazon Kindle. While also an Android, Amazon takes a fair time to update their kit (when they do at all) and effectively made themselves the third wheel store for mobile.

iOS doesn't have that system, it saves more frequently than Android.
The only game that has player bonus data that is lost from a FC (but not a peaceful sleeping) is Android for ST and Android for CK.

I could have sworn that someone once said that it increased your chance of encounters, or something. |

ST RPG is a ridiculously complex game  |
