1) Select captain 2) Select melee weapon 3) Mouse hover over Scittering too far away to hit Results: pop-up displays 72% to hit (see screenshot below) Expected Results: 0% to hit (can't hit enemy that far away with melee)

I noticed that too but don't think it's a problem or bug. It's probably to much extra coding to make it tell the difference between Range and Melee attacks.

Why is that a problem? Wouldn't this information help you decide if you want to charge the monster? If it was a Goliath and you saw 23% chance to hit, you might thing twice about charging. This was an intentionally added feature.
