When I press the map button my phone freezes on thr map screen with no bottom bar. 1 out of 10 time it works.
Lg g4 stock firmware 5.1.1
I can root it later this weekend and post a logcat im out of town on business.
I verified that it happens on all difficulties and ive turned the map graphics off and back on with no luck

So it is not crashing but becomes unresponsive.

So i installed normal ST off google play and was able to recreate it and report it. I can get the map to work about 10% of the time if i lock the screen rotation to landscape.
I am using Elite off amazon appstore.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your device. I'll try to get one and see if I can recreate the issue.
I've also reached out to LG Developer Support to see if they have any known issues with the device we could work around.

First and foremost thanks for the quick reply and your amazing software.
That is the base hardware im using a 812h (Canadian varient). I dont think this issue warrants picking up a lg g4 it slated for an upgrade to 6.0 before the end of the year. I can video the error and send the link on mega or whatever you prefer email etc. I need to find another logcat app where a can export the entire log not one entry at a time and maybe that will give you some more info.

I'm sure it's some obscure hardware or software bug that only impacts that specific combination of versions. We've got many active LG G4 players, so we know it in general works on the device.

Ok i will send you info later tonight. This is a canadian varient so i doubt that you will be able to get one of swappa. LG has the bootloader locked on these so theres not many roms i can try out there. I will try a couple if the other canadian carrier firmares to see if if the promblem happens on all of the or just specfic varients

This is exactly what happens to me. I have a LG Flex 2. I guess i should have come to the forums first instead of Twitter lol. I'm just playing it on my iphone for now.

Can everyone confirm that they're having trouble ONLY opening the Zoom Map?
If anyone with the issue can provide more specific details about exactly what is crashing, that would be great.

Yeah. It's only the zoom map. It's extremely slow to switch to or from the maps. Occasionally will crash when switching to or from the maps. It's literally just the transition between the maps. That's about all it does.

That's about all it does. So the main star map switches fine, and you can like go into and out of Status without problems. The issue is ONLY when trying to enter or exit the zoom map? |

Yep. The map legend and navigator work fine from the zoom map too. Just on load and on exit.

If it helps, "surfaceflinger" skyrockets the cpu usage. Didn't think about checking that out before.

I've got a UK LG Flex 2 and can confirm its happening to me too  Only on the map screen...as soon as I press the button my phone lags like hell and eventually freezes until I kill the task. |
