All those heavy armors and gears with -MP, now you can use them, buff for MP and still get better cooling for your Templars. No ... bonus MP buffs will offset the -MP and the total is what is used. So, you rebuilt the algorithm?

So essentially the Soldier and Neptune are only ones who benefit from -MP for cooling, but only if they are going into OW and have no +MP gear/buffs. With the Turn goals for levels generally a Templar with 2-3 MP is not going to cut it. Only on levels where you need to set up a defensive position is such a low MP acceptable.

With the Turn goals for levels generally a Templar with 2-3 MP is not going to cut it. Only on levels where you need to set up a defensive position is such a low MP acceptable. 1) All Classes benefit from -MP for cooling. 2) Any Class that takes advantage of +MP looses the -MP benefits for cooling. 3) Any Templar gains benefit from -MP for cooling, using OW is not required. 4) Even -1 MP armor has a big impact on Heat dissipation. 5) Depends on your play style a lot. We've seen a big uptick in -MP item and buff adoption.

And you have to take it first or lose it, despite the text making it sound like an either-or first choice.

It appeared to be no big deal but doing the original one first kicks you back to the ship. I'd think trying to catch the leadership would be higher priority than cleaning up a xeno hive.

I was offered the new tunnel mission and regular mission to catch the human leaders of the xeno cult. I took the regular mission first. Upon completion of the Lich extermination, I was sent back to the ship to do the Rubric 5 mission line.
No option to do the new tunnel mission as clean up. I do not recall any urgency in the text to suggest I should choose either first, so it appeared I could do the two options in either order. Does doing Galantia Cross missions cancel the ability to do the Ferarai Lance missions? Although, IMO, Ferarai Lance appeared more critical, so I went with it first.

@alegasn - thanks for clarifying. Yes, if you don't do the Kaldun mission first, it is no longer available. I will take a look at that next week.
