Maybe it is just Yakashima false advertising, but the description reads:
Built with punching power to shread through armor, the Street Hunter is the ultimate weapon for killing in single, deadly shots from a distance.
Its stats are:
Power:4
Penetration: 1
Accuracy: 4
Range: 8
AP: 4
Speed: 1
Y 1000
which makes it far from its description.
You are better off with the Mars Corps HunterSight
Power 7
Penetration 1
Accuracy 5
Range 7
AP 4
Speed 2
Y 2000
a better deal all around except for the 1 point of distance.
I am not quite sure what 'Penetration' is, and how it relates to Power. Since everything I have found so far has Penetration of 1, it is hard to experiment to find out.
But were I writing the advertising for Yakashima, I would advertise their hunter rifle as perfect for those hunters on a budget.

edit: more false advertising from Yakashima
MT Hunting Rifle
Power 8
Penetration 1
Accuracy 5
Ammo 4 heavy
range 6
speed 1
Y2200
description reads:
Preferred by bounty hunters and security forces alive, the MT Hunting Rifle boasts that it is the most accurate long-range rifle available, still delivery[sic] its rounds with deadly power.
1. s/delivery/delivering/
2. The X2 Precision is a more accurate rifle. Perhaps they only mean 'the most accurate rifle that Yakashima makes'
3. The Street Hunter description about shredding armour looks like it would better suit this gun that uses the heavy ammunition.
Perhaps the descriptions were swapped by mistake? But the Street Hunter isn't particularly accurate, the MT Hunting Rifle is indeed slightly more accurate. But what sort of Hunting Rifle uses heavy rounds?
In any case, having managed to train myself in shooting for a while, I am replacing my matched set of X2 precisions for a matched set of Mars Corps HunterSights.
