I have noticed the last few updates have new ships. A while back I bought the unlock all. My question is, does my unlock all make those ships available and, if so, are they only found on impossible? I play on insane and have not found any of them.
I would also like a nudge in the general direction of how to do the birthright quest. I cannot get it to pop. Thanks to all I'm advance.

Hi Fourth Horseman generally all of the new ships are available for Elite owners ... and some are available to both Elite and Free. Because of the number of ships (hundreds), and the randomized encounters, the likelihood of you finding the exact ship you are after is remote. Don't forget you will find some ships in the ship yards at the star dock. Also - some ships tend to be available more with certain factions ... eg the fabled Slayernz Cruiser, which is apparently found mainly in Steel Song worlds. I know that it really isn't the case, but I can just see Andrew and Cory laughing when they coded that in, knowing that it is probably the only faction that I am always banned from. I don't know if we are meant to reveal the whereabouts of the Birthright planet ... I may respond to this in a day or so unless someone suggests not to

Speak not the secrets. The more turns you play, the more ships you see. That's a feature of Elite and doesn't need to be unlocked.

"I'll tell you where to find it," starts to say lab sheep 3.
Before he can finish, lab sheeps 1 and 2 tie him up and gag him.
"Mhmhp mphh mhpmhpmphmph!" mumbles 3.
"He said keep it secret." says 1.
"Keep it safe." adds 2.

Well I'm assuming the birthright quest is in the SE area where the xeno lurk. I don't want to know any secrets, just to do the quest.

Just pop into fringe/independent worlds as you play the game. Be a little methodical and you'll be surprised how quickly you'll find it. I'm allowed to emphasize that clue cos our God Cory did already in another post

Ok dumb question here but is the Birthright quest a rumor you pick up or kick in at certain point in time or what?
I have no issue with landing on every planet in game to find it, just curious as to how you start the quest off.

It's not actually a quest ... it's finding your home world. You get a couple of entries in your ship log and a toast or two, but nothing else. You don't get a new special contract or a relic upgrade ... your father left you his ship - that's pretty rare and special as it is. Why you couldn't actually remember where your homeworld is is a mystery.

Thanks and if your a Cadar it's no mystery as to why you can't remember, since it's probably not painted bright red and go boom when you hit it

Fourth Horseman important note, even if you go to the home world planet you won't always get a toast when you arrive! You will, however get a notification when you go to the hall of records any time afterwards. I just did the award again from a different captain and found no toast ... At least no toast that I noticed

I think it was unplugged. Or maybe I didn't pay the power bill. Who would have thought - cats having to pay for something. It's wrong - plain wrong!
