The magma carpaces are evil. Time to bring back the Naga head shot sniper. Soak that! Some of the new monsters are pretty devious

I've just completed game on ironman difficulty. Last level was indeed more challenging than on first brutal playthrough. 8 turns with "melee" squad, though i must admit the team was pretty decent (haven't lost a templar, so their levels were 16-20). Full buffs and fists rock hard! :-) I'm sure it's possible to make it 6-7 turns by taking more damaging fists.
Registered to share satisfaction from your game. It made me even more glad than victories in ST or TA(which i played a lot). Thank's for your work, Trese brothers and others who helped to create this awesome game. Keep it up!

Did you play all of Ironman with only melee (no shot fired)? What did your squad look like?

Did you play all of Ironman with only melee (no shot fired)? What did your squad look like? That's how i named it in my mind - "melee". It's better to call it short-ranged. Composition: (1) Captain with a shield - commanders confidence 10 (pressing need 8 for some missions), 1 point in bladeweave, (2) berzerker, 1 point in berzerker slash, (3) paladin - battlefield enhancers + warding fire, - these three templars had 70-75% auto-block with max focus + remaining in fortitude; (4) Dalan with plasma gun - RC, (5) soldier with plasma gun - defensive stand, (6,7) enginners with basic pistols - heat-sink + power field (capture 6 for some missions), no turrets :-], - these four templars had best available fists to improve auto-block and damage, maxed fortitude + remaining in focus; - all with buffs had 6-9 tactics; - all who have grenades had 1-5 points allocated into them. Haven't spent RP points on Hydra and Neptune, only used few RP points on scouts to make them easier to survive (as some missions force you to use them).
