Hmm.. Yes, 'Gray goo' could be used as a weapon in the future. Imagine a small ball of it held in the ammo bay by magnets,and then launched towards the enemy ship.
"CAPTAIN! THERES A BIG BALL OF GRAY GOO AND ITS EATING EVERYTHING!"
"CALL THE ALIEN HUNTER OFFICER!"
"THE GOO ALREADY ATE H-MY LE-ARRGGHH-"
It could also be used in massive mining operations. Just shoot one towards an asteroid and it would multiply itself,until the asteroid is only gray goo. Then the ship would send a signal towards the asteroid,and the goo would move all the matter into the right place,and then break each other to materials,ready for the ship to collect.
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!!

Thank you. could you imagine a gun that takes bullets that hold 5 Nanites, but they eat any metal they hit, and hitting a fellow Knight, especially a cybered out Knight could be fatal. They devour everything, looking for silicone.
I agree with the Grey Goo, but I also Love Virtuosity! great idea too.
