The other thing to consider is the speed -- i.e. number of hits per attack.
Why are taser-gloves the preferred weapon for melee fighters of all sorts in the NBZ?
One reason is that, aside from 2 sorts of Drones, every monster in the NBZ has mental stats <= physical stats. Another reason is that stunned-out enemies generate less heat than killed ones. But the biggest, I think, is the 4 blows per attack -- whack, whack, whack, whack! as opposed to a Sniper Rifle which gives you one shot - pew!
The cyan glove users can afford to miss a whole lot more often, and have their attacks do less damage, and still reliably take out the opposition. If you only have one shot, and you have to make the kill, you need more skill, more penetration, and more damage. Because if you miss, or if you only cripple your enemy, you may be dead.

How is it obscured? I'm confused ... CK's math is pretty straight forward, actually. When I get hit (tested just 5 min again) by a Gang thug rifle I take 2 damage no Matter if trenchcoat or that 10/9/NR Yakashima (?) superarmour. And I get armor deflects against Corp guns wearing a trenchcoat sometimes. What am I missing?
