Hi! I just got your game and am really enjoying learning and playing.
I really look forward to the 4x game mentioned in the player's guide v3.0
I currently play a computer game called Birth of the Empires (4x). One of the things that has made it stay at the top of my favorite games is the ability to modify it via editors and scripts. This gives you the ability to create a whole new flavor of game easily and share it with other.
I do not know how hard that would be to do with this game, but it is something to think about. You also might ck with the German guys doing that game and see if they want to share art work. It's an idea anyway. Or collaborate with them on the android 4x.
A random generated start map is another idea. Or have that as an option at start. Use the static map - or generate a random one (maybe an elite option). This could add to the longevity of a person playing the game. Typically when I become too familiar with a game it starts being less fun and much more rote.
Again great game.
Last idea - you might sell the elite as two diff versions. The regular version 1 and a 2nd version with an included indepth strategy guide. I'd easily pay double or triple the cheap price you sell for to get a good guide to help me start out.
I remember paying upwards of $20 for the strategy guide to MOO II, LOL. I am glad you made a free version - there are so many games out there I am often disappointed in them. Now I tried this and when I get good at it a bit, I'll want to upgrade to elite. Great idea! Much better than just a demo version.
