Ive been working to get my heath down since the start of my career as a knight. I started out laying down every punk and ganger and corp scum that stood in my way. Even ignore it was a punk from the faction that I haft a job from. Sometimes a punk would step out of the shadows and try to rob the payroll and volunteer himself for yje statistics sheet. Jeremy is were the frustration comes in. I have worked with blue ox down from -120 to true member status with a +9. I cant get past +9. I recently returned from a missions only to find a significant yellow heat bar, lost all my repo and back to a +5 rating. Did I do something wrong.a. I didnt kill any blulue ox, not encounters in their territory....  ? Please thus has happened twice and now I have almost red heat and not positive repo left. It took alot of work and time.  |

I only know of 5 secrets for getting rid of heat.
1. escape your way out of fights more often. (looks like you know this one).
2. try to keep your rep positive. When it goes negative, those bad reps are added to your heat in a neighbourhood. (looks like you know this one, as well.)
3. North Square is your friend. There are 4 hotels there. Go there, stay in one hotel, leave, go to another, and then a third one. By this time all, or nearly all if you have been extremely violent recently, of your heat will be gone in all the neighbourhoods where your rep is positive. This leaves the ones where your reputation still stinks.
4. In some neighbourhoods you can buy back a reputation by purchasing a pardon from the bosses in their hideout. I am not sure if this works for the Oxen yet, I have never managed to get them that angry with me. This may be your problem -- it's K.H. that I have to keep pacifying by running missions for, and they don't have a den as far as I know, so no pardon is possible. So I just run missions for them out of a convenient Connector hangout. If you want to do this, make sure that the connector in the place you choose is really giving out missions for the faction you want to pacify. I happen to know that the Lion and the Harpy, despite being in the Back Bay Slums, is worthless for improving your rep with K. H., since the connector there is tied to the Streets.
5. Travel by taxi. Avoid the possibility of fights for a while. Of course, you will need to know a taxi driver that doesn't mind the Heat as much as Benni does.

oh, I forgot. If you haven't already, go buy yourself a computer that holds 2 jobs, or more if you can afford it. Try the S-MART in Old Bridge, where you can buy one for 3575 Y that holds 2. It will make working down your bad rep go a whole lot faster.

I have the same problems with K.H. though my greed forces me to travel around for cheaper lodgings and the few safehouses I bought. Very useful info,need to go that pda now.

my rep is so bad with mars that i cant delete paydata or look at their faction info  reported twice, third mention here... tiny screen problem, but everything else is great! even when those gray bars are on the screen, i cant read the words... VERY hard to hit too. extremely thin... i just pointed & clicked everything to discover their function. if i whored myself out to mars for a week, then i can delete the data. the neg.rep. would decrease & stop pushing those buttons ohhhh so far away |

fallen- you guys are amazing, no worries! i just wanted a number.  and thank you very much! i really dont know how you guys keep up with all of us... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- also, just random info- cheapest smart phone you can get with this much raw power... $20 with contract (insane) SHOCKED im playing a game like CK on it... fragin AWESOME! (fanboy here, sorry) lol there may be more of us soon, especially Sprint users...

By the way, it is not the case that every 3-job comptuer for under 9000Y was removed from the game. I've found one. :-)
