Do you want to DM? we can wait to see if anyone else wants to step up, or you could claim it and make your thread, if you were so inclined.

I'll let you make that call. Like I said, I've never done it and wouldn't know the first thing, but I'll play

I've never played D&D past 3rd edition. Everyone I played with jumped to 4th when it came out and left me and the games we were playing behind.

Lol 3rd edition wasn't bad, still a lot of 1st and 2nd edition stuff I like. Little I saw of 5th edition seemed like they kind of dumbed things down with it.

Last time I played was ver. 2.5 of ad&d, 2nd ed. expanded source rules. I definitely can NOT DM... My anxiety shuts my brain down completely, and I'm a poor story teller besides. I could probably muster some text play tho, at least on days my health holds.

I would certainly need to touch up on whatever version we play if we go DnD. By touch up I mean learn from the ground up. I haven't played anything since 2004(?). I learn quick though, so don't worry about me. Something in the sci-fi genre would be interesting, given our surroundings

My cousins and friends begged me to play with them. So I had them tell me about the D&D and they had the books I could look through to pick out what kind of character I wanted to be. We started a game and played every weekend for the whole summer. I eventually got my own 3.5 books, created a campaign of my own that we started playing and then 4th edition came out. I wouldn't mind trying to do an online game, but just IRL sometimes someone can't make it to the game or something else happens. We would need some plans for what to do.

Looks interesting, and also looks like a month's worth of reading Sounds like I could sink my teeth into that world, or even if someone wanted to do one in the ST/BF vein... My god, if we could figure out a Battleforce campaign...

Something in the sci-fi genre would be interesting, given our surroundings 5e simplified a lot of redundant things and reduced the need for ridiculously high skills with a simple proficient/not proficient system. As for sci-fi, Stars Without Number seems pretty cool for a sandbox style campaign. It also has a pretty cool back story and pyscic powers.

Sounds like the position of DM is yours, should you accept it, Aurelius. Pretty much everyone tagged has weighed in and nobody's offered to do it save for you, good buddy.

Never heard of Stars without Numbers but would love to learn a new space opera type RPG. Pencil me in for a psychic martial artist

I enjoyed the skills and building them. The fun part was trying to find ways of getting a synergy bonus especially when you created a dual class character. A lot of times it was up to the DM\GM but that was what made it fun. Everyone trying to really think how things would work out.
