She is the chief executive at Yahoo. Her business decisions have basically dragged the company along. No verifiable success, in spite of the pay she's received, and all the free press. She is sort of a celebrity in the business world. So as Yahoo becomes closer to turning into a hedge fund, the company is paving the way to pay Marissa a huge bonus for abandoning it's only purpose, and should she fail to use her executive skill?, or celebrity, to sell the company's search division, then they plan to pay her still. If she gets fired they plan to bonus her also.
Imagine if you got fired or wasted millions of dollars, and your life got better as a result. Poor dumb investors. Business news is edifying.

Marissa is very much like Donald Trump. If you were a political strategist, and wrote a book on "how not to win in the race to the presidency", you would do what DT has been doing since his campaign started. 1. Insult the Women (what do roughly half the voting population know anyway) 2. Insult the Hispanics (many can't vote because apparently they're illegal and should be south of the "Wall") 3. Actively talk about how big you are, especially your manhood 4. Engage with the fringe/radical groups like KKK and have them endorse you (that alienates the main population from your campaign) 5. After a few days, abuse and put down those same fringe/radical groups (that pisses off the fringe groups) 6. Thank those who support you, even the dumb uneducated ones (those people don't read news anyway) 7. Talk about being so popular that even if you go and shoot someone in the middle of NYC and still be elected. 8. Shoot someone in the middle of NYC.
Okay - so DT hasn't gotten to #8 yet ...

There's still time for his supporters to do it for him, slayernz... If this election season did one good thing this year, I think the fact that people en masse are finally waking up to the issues plaguing our political system. Most notably the horrendous impact of Citizens United and the influx of money used to rig and outright buy elections, as well as the completely anti-democratic institutions of the DNC and the RNC, who are propagating a completely rigged system on BOTH sides of the fence.

The leisure of the super rich is spent on designing the future. They don't play to lose so...
Citizens United is a funny way for the issue to be referenced. Reminds me of Operation Enduring Freedom. The wordplay. Didn't some visionary dude say something about obscuring or changing the meaning of words?

It does go to show you that the RNC and the NRA have a lot in common. Almost two thirds in fact.
And the difference between a C and an A is merely a B.
B, as everyone knows is a small insect, better known for collecting pollen and nectar and making yummy honey.
Except of course the African Killer B. That nasty Critter (a creation by man) doesn't produce much honey, and even if it does, it isn't something you want to risk your life trying to get.
Speaking of man-made creations that are lethal ... guns. Guns and under-cooked chickens ... but let's not get distracted. You cannot cook a chicken with a gun. Sure, you might singe the outside, or if you've got a big enough barrel, you can potentially give the carcass 3rd degree burns as you shoot the thing out in a controlled explosion of gunpowder, but you still can't eat it.
Eating under-cooked chicken is dangerous. Very very dangerous. If you don't start throwing up within hours after the meal, you'll have a nasty night, and wake up completely wasted the next morning. What else is like feeling like crap in the morning after a very bad night? The Dry Terrors ... or "DT's. Where your throat is killing you and your head is throbbing and the smell of alcohol is almost enough to set you off again.
What else is a DT? Donald Trump, as in winning the nomination. That is, if he crosses the line, a great number of people will start retching. The rest will wake up the next morning and shudder, thinking "What have we done".
What have we done! ... Let's not get there. Let's keep the DT's out of American Politics.
Let's keep the NRC distinct-er from the NRA. And for heavens sake, COOK CHICKEN PROPERLY!

The biggest problem with D Tizzie isn't that he is eccentric. It's not that he's inexperienced, or narrow minded. It's not that he's a fire brand, or a celebrity. It's not even that he's dangerous. The biggest problem with Dump Truck is that he's a liar. A resolute, absolute, not quite astute liar. I suppose the future is celebrity or zealot candidates. Two choices isn't really enough when you consider that the gates of hell have already been opened. On a happier note I had to dispose of eleven deceased chickens just today. It was hot and they stank. Gross.

You're absolutely right - eleven dead chickens is actually a better conversation than Ditzee.

When you think of the forum, and communicate, do you ever visualize the members as their profile picture? For instance, has it every seemed to the reader that I am actually a giant living football helmet?

My profile pic is homage to one of my favorite ST Captains, who is in turn a character taken from previous RPGs and writing I've done.

I don't think you're a football helmet. slayernz is a cat, and rabidbite is some sort of crazed killer cyborg bunny. Jacob is a werewolf. BlastGT1 is really Edward Elric. As for me, I'm not telling what I really am I could be a human or perhaps something else. When you dream of me, what do you see? And in dreaming of me, what are you?

I myself have less hair than my profile picture. And don't have a mustache and bushy white eyebrows.

I really am a fluffy white poodle. But I'm very well behaved and never would chase a cat. I hate spiders, though. Grrr!
