Sunflower oil is highly questionable. I think it's nast. I bought some bottled artichokes, and they're doused in it. Shoulda looked a lil' closer.

qbspyThe trouble with/benefit of sunflower oil is its lack of flavour. Good for frying and, apparently, baking (I only use butter when baking), pretty useless with artichokes. Let them drain for a good hour or so then drizzle with some good olive oil and some balsamic vinegar, then serve them with shaved parmesan and freshly ground black pepper.

Sounds great. Olive oil is hard to top. Pepper too.

That sounds good. Luxury rations anyone?
Edit: Reminds me of when my son made brownies with Extra Virgin Olive Oil... not good. He shoulda used sunflower oil or canola since we actually have that at my house.

Just wasted 7.5 minutes of a Windows Support scammer's time... Goddamn I hate those fu**ing people.
Anyone else deal with them on an almost daily basis?

What's a Windows support scammer? An evil form of pond scum that came into being when Microsoft in yet another show of their great stupidity introduce remote desktop and assistance. They call you and get you to give them access to your pc claiming that they received a notice from you that you needed help with a system error. I have a friend, in his late 70's that gets calls all the time. His does have a pc, but hasn't used it in over two years. It always is some person with a foreign accent claiming they received an error report from him just the other day. I could go on but I think you get the point by now.

I also see plenty of phishing emails along the same lines. I've gotten these calls from people with USA accents, maybe I just got luck.
If I have the time, I do enjoy keeping these people on the line for a while, it decreases their efficiency.

So I'm a faithful Pokemon Go trainer. Stepped outside to catch a Seaking I spotted down at the nearby lake, and nearly tripped over a kriffing alligator sunning itself in the grass because I was too busy chucking Poke Balls at the Seaking.

I deal with these problems in a most serious manner. By not responding to calls from non-contacts. My voicemail message was directly ripped from Dilbert: "This is Revan Starbrow's voice mail. I'm not available...ever. I am either on vacation, or sick, or traveling, or in a meeting. I do not check e-mail or return phone calls. Like the horizon, I am more of a concept than a corporeal being. Despair is your only option."

So... I hear there's a military coup going on in Turkey. I wonder how that will turn out.

From my 'western' perspective I have felt the Turks don't belong in 'Turkey' I can't change history though. Looks like the coup is over, and Palpatine can continue his program. "Oh look, something new on E news!"

Well qbspy, I'm sorry your coupe broke down, and we all like turkey, but...
I noticed that Tucson AZ was getting some kind of food award or designation from a world body. It reminded me of that wacky Sonoran hot dog you may have heard of. Has anyone consumed this? Is it incredible? I would like to try one if it's good.
