It amazes me that people even think of someone being "foreign" on the internet. Even in the 80's when it was still a mostly American thing, half the people on chat were from non-English speaking countries, and a CS degree doesn't seem to produce the very best language skills. What percentage of Internet users in the world would "have" to speak English? As a person who's bad with languages (my Spanish is possibly okay now, I guess,) I've always been amazed at how well people actually do. I hope the eventual Mandarin/Hindi internet is kind to us.
