Crash on mission start, any mission [Linux Debian]

Linux Debian 8
i5
4gb Ram
HD5500

Problem:
Installed perfectly, launches as expected, play intro, but when controls are released to me after the intro, the game force quits.
Tried reinstalling, changeing full-screen to windowed, screen size, sound on and off, difficulty settings, canceling the 5 intro missions, no luck. Everytime the controls get handed over to me, the game quits.

I hope that you can help me, running other games like Mount&Blade Warband and TotalWar Empire without problems.

Hey, sorry to hear about the issue. We do all of our builds against the Valve provided Linux Steam OS runtime, which is why they've given us the "Supports Linux" badge.

Your ldd output looks good -- and all of those libraries are loaded when the game starts.

Have you tried turning off the Steam overlay? Do you get a stack trace, core dump, or anything like that? Does Steam register the crash to SteamCrashReport?
