Either she is MADE of buffs or that guy attended the Imperial Gunnery School on Coruscant. I think she found a rare suit of artefact plot armor that she keeps on under her shipsuit. Irid-sheathed!

What exactly is Irid is anyway? Iridium bodyarmor. Andrew is either dragging the Tau into this or he has some special pre-Zendu split darktech to throw around. We smell our own.

Thorin's been giving away more of those shiny Mormon underoos again. Having seen Mormons in their underoos, I can say they are much more dingy than shiny... Perhaps you're thinking hiphop underoos from around y2k. Puff Daddy was the first I saw wearing shiny alot outside of sci-fi and NASA iirc.

Will get Cory to elucidate. Oh we know it's nothing to do with GW's mess of a game. The only reason I know anything about it is because my friends enjoy the lore, so osmosis.

Iridlaentine is an extremely rare metal that was mined in the Galactic Core centuries ago. This crystalline metalallic element mined from the surface of certain stars. This mining was performed by Star Traders, using Leviathan Suits for their original purpose. The refinement of Iridlaentine into a usable form requires a star forge, and following the Exodus it is no longer produced. The Templar Knights have a limited supply that they use carefully when the need arises.

What exactly is a Star Forge? Like a starship 3D printer?

What exactly is a Star Forge? Like a starship 3D printer? I know that the description of it in Empires says that it is for laying down starship keels in Orbit.

An orbital one, yes. The Factions eventually being to produce them again after the Exodus, but they were the great shipyards of the galactic core.

Does that mean until a Star Forge is built, Faction ships are assembled in atmo? Or are they assembled in Orbit, piece by piece like the ISS?

Not having an operational Star Forge does not preclude orbital construction, but it is a named design that was brought with the Star Traders from the Galactic Core and is/was considered top of the line ship construction technology at the time.
