Orchid might be a needler type? Needler would probably work as well. Long as whatever it is is small enough to easily conceal. As it's a secondary tool for those oh damn moments when her charm, martial arts and a knife or three can't handle the situation. |

Because of the occupation of the ship, it should have a rather common ship name for the public
so when they tank up on water or buy and sell, the public ship name recorded.
That way, when any one trying to track them via ship name, they will see lot of entry all over the know space and not easy to find them (like the bounty hunter to shot them up).
The crew will have a nick name for the ship, they use internally.
So Fallen, which name was we selecting?

richard - the name that the crew uses internally for the ship. While it may have a different signature when doing dark ops, this is the name that everyone onboard would use, think of, and the name they would banty about with their contacts. When they go to get a smuggling run from the corrupt prince, they tell him "You're hiring the crew of the famous Vamoose, we're slippery as hell and no one is going to track us down." (etc)

(etc) I think I can speak for most captains in that the name of a vessel is its very soul. Changing it officially is typically seen as taboo, or at least bad luck. Lots of power in those old superstitions.  |

dayan - completely agree. The real name of the ship sticks, carries weight, is the rallying flag and the calling card of the crew. Often, the ship becomes more of a legend than its people.

 With a sandstorm closing in, the crew leaps into action to complete the smuggler's drop off. Preferring to stay in close, Derrick has come down from the crow's next. Time to do business. Really enjoyed the whipping antennas in this one. Thanks to Singapore and German military for inspirations. Thanks to dayan for providing the technical specs on Derrick's AR177. Last week's poll was a zoo with all sorts of creative names coming in across the wires. In the end, Space Girl won out. Uhhhhh lol. Should I have known better? I think I will learn to love it! I have some retcon to do to get the ship's name into original pages. I am also going work on dialog in earlier pages as well, because unless you read the post notes along with each page, the story about Mercury Third is completely impossible to pick up. This week, I've decided to skip on the CYOA poll. I've never tried a project like this before, and I feel like the story is current backed into a corner a bit too much for a good poll right now. Hopefully, we can add one next week. As always, the story is CYOA, so you're suggestions on what you think might / could / should happen are welcome You've gotten us this far!
