I just thought of something that could get players more invested in ST4X. Having awards like STRPG to unlock things like new ship skins, etc. could make the game more interesting.

We tried to make cosmetic ships part of the ST 4X offering but they do not sell very well. Since they don't sell well, we assume people are not interested in them.
If they sold well, we'd definitely be considering adding unlockable ones!

Thanks for the feedback, the game's scope did not cover awards and its not something we can add after the fact, as that is a major, multi-month undertaking to add to a game after the fact.
