Hey All, I love this game so much, I decided to do a let's play on hard difficulty using scouts pinning fire and hydras for damage over time for locking down areas. I would appreciate any tips and hints from the more advanced players on this run..and if you want to have a templar in your name, check out episode 3. Here is a link to the playlist. Videos go up once every other day ( Right now I have 3 episodes up). Thanks to the Trese brothers for such a great game. Link to the Templar Battleforce LP

If you want to really lock down areas, you need to include Soldiers, ideally Neptunes. The Neptune vs Hydra challenge proved that Overwatch is key to avoiding Templar deaths.

Engineers can also help in this regard. Turrets are fine substitutes for area defense, just don't neglect them on the Requisition tree or talent points afterwards

On this forum and Steam I have a guide with lots of tips for new players. When it comes to Hydras, Neptunes, and Scouts, the talents that reduce enemy MP are ones to focus on. As mentioned, the Sentry Turret talent of Engineers is a great investment. Xenos will flock towards them so they also make good decoys. I'm in the process of making some updates to the guide so stay tuned, we'll be right back after these messages

mal - all the honor to you and your Lineage, Templar! Awesome work on the Let's Play series and we are sharing it around. I hope the pro tips have helped, and let us know if there are additional questions we could answer. Love to see what you're doing and especially how much you're helping to spread the good word about the game. A huge +1 as you near 1,000 views on your series. Wow - you are awesome. We will be sharing your channel for weeks to come.

When using Turrets instead of Soldiers, don't overlook the Engineering Skill or Resupply from TP.

@ fallen Wow! It is a real pleasure to talk first hand with the great team behind the Templar series. You guys rescued my hope in mobile gaming with Templar Assault on android! Thanks for letting me share my LP on your forums, it is really appreciated. @ Cory Trese - Great call on the ordnance resupply for turrets. That's huge. @ Brutus Aurelius & En1gma - Thanks for the recommendation for Neptunes/Soldiers with my combination. I will definitely need something to lock down the fast moving opponents, due to how fire/bio-poison damage does not kill until end of turn. @ ntsheep I will definitely be checking out your guides on steam. Thanks man! Vae victis! Ad astra per aspera!

Part 4 - Pressing End Turn Next to a BossFacing off against the first Goliath on hard difficulty, I make the worst mistake one can make in a turn based tactical game- I hit end turn without moving any of my templars... Thanks again for letting me keep this thread for the LP.

Thanks again for letting me keep this thread for the LP. Well, thank you for doing them! Just shared Ep4 across all of our channels and will keep hitting them up to help you gain more subscribers. The title of the video reminds me of a feature we should be adding The game could help out by checking a few critical stats (% of AP spent) and prompting "are you sure?"

mal:- Enjoyed the first LP episode! Are you recording on a PC or on your Android? fallen:- "The game could help out by checking a few critical stats (% of AP spent) and prompting "are you sure?"" True, and I have hit next turn without accidentally moving my templars, sometimes to terrible consequences, but I think that prompt could get annoying at times--sometimes I don't want to move a Templar because the Templar is locking down a location or burning off heat and there are often times when I will not spend all the AP. If you do add the feature, here are a few ideas: (1) Maybe have it only prompt if 50% or greater AP for the team is not spent on a turn as a default; (2) have an adjustment slider in the options with options from (a) always prompt if more than 1 AP is remaining for any templar, to (b) 50% AP spent to (c) never prompt to confirm "End Turn".

Vae Victus - any prompting would be based around % of team AP spent, never individual Templars. And it would definitely be an option, if we are able to add it in the future. Thanks for the context!

Killer video - I really love how you cut through and summarize all the RQ unlocks you pick up, that is a really nice way of putting it together. Bravo! Really well done and great to see so many comments on all the videos!
