Hello people =) Smooth walking is cool but: 1) is too slow with the option enabled(really) 2)is acceptable with the option turned off(however not optimal) So my suggestions are 2: 1)or to speed up the movement 2) more better,to associate the speed movement to the "athletics" value ^^ low value=grandapa movement, high value=Husain Bolt movement =)
EDIT i also had a bug, often when i start moving with d-pad or with a waypoint my pg disappears and reappears few squares distant, then the movement normally continues.=)

I'll keep working on the bugs.
The speed of movement is determined by your phone mostly

"literally teleporting"
Not to be difficult, but I don't exactly understand what you mean.
With the animated walking turned off the old movement code is running.
It shouldn't have changed, just ticks the character 1 box at a time.
Any explainations I get will help me improve it.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S (GT-9000) which I thought was a top-endish sort of phone when I bought it a year ago, and the smooth scrolling is too slow for me too.

@cory- Okay, was exaggerating about my speed when I turn off smooth scrolling. But in comparison, even if my CK was moving only 1 box at a time, he is light years faster than when he was scrolling.

Yeah. I get a lot of complaints that he moves too fast / the movement is "jerky" or stuttering. So I added a default mode to address that. I guess it isn't work on all phones / people aren't understanding it. Sales are down so, so much I'm pretty much just trying to address the biggest "why I don't buy" type e-mail issues. This movement is one of them and I'm pretty much stuck with fixing it, so it isn't going away / being reverted.

Yes respect to older versions the ck moves slowly...especially with min zoom I do NOT understand. The old version is the same as the new version with "Disable Animated Movement" checked. Help me understand this confusing post.

@cory- I probably am not the best person (or even qualified) to tell you this, but once CK hits Ver. 1 (as in, what it would look like in your mind), sales would easily rival that ot ST, if not more.

@cory- Yes, that would be it. But how much of the maps would Story Mode take us? Ideally, it should have us going to each of them at least once (including underground and buildings). And the Matrix. How successful a cyberpunk game is totally hinges on how the Matrix works. It could decide, ultimately, if we have a winner in our hands.

@cory sorry u're right ^_^ with Smooth walking introduction the Knight moves lower than in the past(when smooth walking wasn't yet introduced),and this thing(in my game experience) doesn't change if I turn off options that permit to the game to use less memory(disable animation, disable background ecc)...^^ 'bout speed movement related to the skill "athletics"? Could it be nice??

Mapping a in-game speed of movement to a character skill isn't a very good idea from my standpoint. It would leave some play styles at a distadvantage in terms of how many game-play minutes a task (like navigate from X to Y) takes.
Because the game is single player, speed of play isn't included as an overall design competition element. So you'd essentially make slower character's players wait to walk because they'd rather spend the money on XP.
Also, if the members of the party had different skill values, which would you use? The active character -- that wouldn't make much sense unless they carried the rest of the party!
