Hi, I am just wondering if enemy spawn occurrences are different depending on which direction your group is moving around.
Sometimes I thought there should be a spawn at certain points from previous playthrough, but coming from a different direction there isn't one. Or vice versa, when I didn't expect a spawn, but it then occurred when coming from a different direction. Very probably I'm just mis-remembering things.
But my question is whether all enemy spawn positions are already fixed and that they are triggered by the proximity of your group no matter which direction they are coming from.

The spawn system has a concept of the monster's territory. When you get close enough, from any direction, the monsters are spawned and added to the game. They're spawned inside of the territory.

And territoris may overlap. Which forms major factor in map difficulty. Also, the battle trigger is a chance, as I understand it. If you are passing by the very edge of the "territory", mobs MAY not notice you. Which can be both good and bad, in certain cases.
