I am working on it, we have made progress. Unfortunately Amazon's ultimate answer is "you need to re-code the entire Amazon integration, start over" I am about 30% of the way done, shouldn't be too much longer. Thanks for being so patient. That's good to hear! Thanks for working on the Amazon problem!

filthyluca, I have had useful rumors in both. They don't have shared pools, it just looks that way

My bad sowing chaos and confusion over here, I think part of the challenge of ST RPG is figuring out what is an actual underlying pattern and not just a random convergence of events that persists just long enough to draw some false conclusions. This is so true. And people's desire to apply their current guess to the underlying game mechanics is probably the number 1 cause of confusion.

Keeps me coming back though thinking I got it a little more figured out only to have my theories dashed. I can only liken the feeling to playing Morrowind as a kid where it demanded you explore and delve into it. It's the same feeling of achievement to learn something from a game that isn't holding your hand.

Seriously? When I was playing just a half year ago they still have shared pool. At least on my phone. Nope, sorry, they have never shared a pool, not on any phone unless that phone has a pirated or corrupted version of the game. Although, an issue like that in the saved game would also prevent the game from loading, displaying the map, loading a menu or parsing the urban zone. If they were "shared on your phone" then you are not playing the game that I made, maybe you were playing a different game? Hmm... I'm feeling conflicted here. I trust what you're saying Cory, since you wrote the code, but I just can't figure out what could possibly be causing the phenotype that resistor , filthyluca and I think we are seeing. The illusion of having a shared pool of useful rumors... unless we always coincidentally pick the location with rumors and the other location had none to begin with? Aaaanyway, I think it's okay to move on from this since it doesn't really bother me anymore, and I'm waiting for ST2.

Was going back through some old forum postings yesterday and saw one about how the Militarybase and Palace share a pool while the Spicehall has its own. I think originally misreading that is the root of my confusion.

alonelytrader is probably on iOS. Due to it being a completely separate codebase from the android (main) version, development is very slow and we haven't had updates for a while due to the TBs focus on ST2. All of their other games on iOS use a cross-platform engine and are updated alongside the android (and steam) versions - at least as fast as the Apple review period of 1-2 weeks allows.

Can anyone tell me why We are working on an iOS update, but developing Star Traders RPG for iOS is much harder than updating the Android version. Apple has updated their development tools a number of times since ST RPG was first built and at this time it needs a major overhaul to even build. We're struggling to keep up with the markets making all these changes -- iOS and Amazon are both in the same boat. The platform owner (Amazon, Apple) have made surprise, breaking changes to their platforms that excluded TB updates. We're trying out best to catch up but there are only two of us. I stand behind our commitment to updates on the iOS platform, but Star Traders RPG is the slowest of the bunch. If you look at Heroes of Steel RPG or Templar Battleforce you'll see regular updates that keep the iOS version on feature parity with Android, PC and Mac.

Thanks, I am an iOS user so that would explain it, also I do also have star traders 4x empires with the dlcs and I believe you're updating that game ( can't check if you have because of the amount of apps on my phone ). Good luck in getting the rest of the iOS updates though and good luck in developing the 2nd star traders game
