Now, this may or may not have been addressed before but common sense says that if we find ammo clips, we should also find guns. yes, I know we can

I actually didn't complete my first post. The idea is there though, so correct me if I am rehashing old stuff that may/may not have been addressed.
I am just curious how we don't have time to get any weapons or armor, but we can find ammo clips...Don't you have to get the ammo from the gun or cyberloader? lol

I think if we did find weapons and armor it should be a big hassle with little profit. In a cyberpunk world the registering guns system would be way more advanced than it is today. Special nano cerial number and possibly chips in them that cause the guns not to operate without fingerprint/DNA confirmation,it would require special contacts or very good hacking+special equipment to be useable. Armor would possibly be special sized to the user and upon finding it should be pretty banged up and needing repairs. We would get rich too fast in the current system if we found completely usable weapons and armor. Just my thoughts.

SMARTLink and D-Type Handles for guns. Trackers, Tracers, GPS, Validation Chips, Deactivation, Suicide Switches. People used to loot when I was GM. After a while they just started burning all the evidence and working other angles. I'm not sure about what we will do in CK, but the current loot lists are inadequate and I know it. The answer is not putting armor and guns into the lists. Not until Gear Load penalties and many other full systems come online to offset.

@cory Agreed. I would also rather their be balance too.
I was merely making an observation and ended with a question, of course.

A contact that buys the stuff could be an interesting option.
You pick up a package from the battle called..I dunno..gun remains,or simply scrap, then you call your contact who buys the stuff....the street weapons dealers gotta get their parts from somewhere. A heat penalty would be apropriate while carrying your ill gotten gains.
Maybe the contact would reward you with something special after selling enough parts to him...each gang could have their own contact and special reward for that purpose.

Well, my sniper is now carrying around enough ammo packs to support world war 3. I suppose when loading becomes an issue in future updates, I'll have to dump ammo more regularly at the pawn shops.
