Started a VKFT group and planning on maxing out Shield, Skin and a few points into NM and Speed. Compared with other heroes, Vraes' SP usage is quite big now with the cost of Shield and Speed especially. Fyona will level Fervor and Kjartan will level Pureflame to add even more armor to this build. No need to worry about Stealth for Tamilin since Vraes is leading, but that means no more Stalker ability for her, which was one of my favourite talent. On previous plays, I always leveled up Zealous for Fyona, but I think for this playthrough I will be aiming to max level Reckoning for the -2ap to add to Tam's Torrent.

I usually put 16 points into Vraes's Lore so that stone skin could last for 2 rounds, plus I don't actually active phalanx shield or burst of speed unless I encounter bosses or tough matches . With enough sp draining gears, Fy could use Fervor and Strickening for quite a while! But you don't actually have to get reckoning up to -2 ap, Tam would do a much better job in that regard, and it is much more efficient.

I am just planning ahead to the battle with the 2 sear lords in the COD battle where Tamilin is transported away. The -2ap from Reckoning would come in handy. Also, I want to try maxing out Reckoning instead of Zealous and compared the 2 talents. I always find it difficult to decide which way to go with these 2 talents.

for this build, yeah, reckoning first for the ap, then zealous follows. Good luck with the Seers! ...You are gonna need it

Offensively zs is generally more sp efficient for Fyona per dmg, if you get reck to cross for area effect.
Party defense, and other party member melee acc, reck is the way to go.

Both are close in terms of damage and accuracy, as Reck debuffs Parry. Reck delivers an area effect and lots of defensive debuffs for about twice the SP cost. So Reck is far better on nearly every occasion, as long as you can afford it, which should not be a big issue.

I reckon by the time I get reckoning to 9 or 10, there will be sufficient sp drain items to support this.

I would increase ZS first since it gives you additional holy damage for Reckoning on the follow on strikes

For Vraes, do you increase Lore before weapon skill?

It's a difficult choice. But I am tending towards building Reckoning first for all those reasons. At least it gives me an extra chance to hit with Reckoning in some tight battles. Building Reckoning to a high level would make sure every hit counts towards dealing those debuff effects.

Having just completed all available content with a party very similar to this one, I can safely say this style of play does not get nearly enough attention.
If people are curious, I will happily provide a detailed write up.

jhakir - I certainly am, but its from a game designer's academic view. I'm always interested in hearing about a new build I haven't tried
