We do our best to honor those members of the community really go above and beyond on the alphas. I look forward to everyone walking another alpha path with us. I know together we'll make this thing we've been working on into something great. Something better than we would have been able to make without you. You're just buttering us up so that we don't complain about Impossible difficulty! In all seriousness though, reading this brought a smile to my face. Just knowing how much better at making games you guys have gotten over the years, and knowing that we here are a part of the process and seeing how open and friendly you guys are makes me really happy. I don't mind throwing money at you guys because helping out like that means that this wonderful journey can keep going. Looking at you too fallen !

I have no doubt that the version we release to market will be dramatically better than the first alpha phase.
That end product will be the result of many people's hard work and input -- and the alpha testers are listed in the credits for reason ... they deserve a lot of credit for the degree of improvement we've been able to achieve as a result of early private alpha tests.

Get Hype for multiple difficulties ...
- Normal where your Crew rarely die and you can nurture a familiar collection of 20 characters. - Hard where Crew death is common and your roster is a rotating door that naturally selects the tough and talented. - Impossible where Crew death is constant and the Captain's survival is the only thing that matters.

Here's the list of names I did, Setenph Cassie Wells Cobra's Den Nakvorian Vorains Trench Keep a look out for names of literary devices (in Latin) from the Aeneid I feel like hard difficulty sounds ideal - enough time to get to know them before they're cruelly snatched away

I can't wait! Is it time for the Alpha yet? Perhaps that should be our goal. 500 pages and then one of the forum admins can lock the thread for good putting and end to the war and declaring a winner. We could then go on to start a new war Maybe they're waiting for us to reach page 700

Get hype. We're really waiting on a couple of things -- we have bugs to fix, some features to test and contractor work to finalize. Since this game is so big, we're not doing everything by hand our selves this time, which means there are more moving parts. That is part of why it has taken so long to get done, but you'll see the results are a level up
