As far as I remember, the email that Fallen/Cory sent out will have a download link to the app in it. Maybe it's after syncing/logging in? I made my hockeyapp account way back with BF so I didn't have to deal with it this time around, sorry  fallen, and the third step is waiting for the alpha to go live! It's killing me! I know you can't do anything about it though. Just wanted to let people know that, at least for now, don't kill yourself getting ready because the alpha is not live in hockeyapp yet.I just downloaded it, I was unsure due to the company name difference (one area said Microsoft, another Bithub or something like that). Seems to be fine though. |

Microsoft acquired HockeyApp a little more than a year ago. It is a good thing for us.
If you need custom support, we can jump on a chat line once we have the uploads done.
If you plan to test on mobile, you should install HockeyApp's mobile application.
If you plan to test on desktop, you can just use a web browser.

Ok so I'm an idiot but is the alpha supposed to be available right now?
Got the email's, and set up hockeyapp thingy on both PC and phone.
Shows ST2 Alpha, but clicking on it just gives me a no version available message on both the PC and Android phone.
We still waiting to go live or am I missing something somewhere?

We're waiting for everything to process and hit the servers, so while we are "live" in the sense that the brothers have uploaded everything to hockeyapp, we aren't quite live-live yet because none of the versions are available to install through hockeyapp yet.

Github: github.com/ is the largest site for open source collaboration in the world. If you want to share code, you go there. As of Dec 17 this year, it had 24,377,273 registered users (not all of which are very active). It's free for Open Source. If you want to develop closed source software using the github tools and ecosystem, you pay. So github is a collection of communties, some of which are very large ("all the Python programmers in the world") and some of which are tiny ("me and my brother"). As a developer you can be in as many communities as you like. One of the nice things about hockeyapp is that it lets you login to the app with your github id and password, which can be very convenient for those of us as have one. Thinking of it as a 'company' with 'customers' is probably not the right mindset to have. |
