Update the mission section with a blurb about how the game will be kind to you for a while in the beginning. Left the write up about the 3 s'es as a post-honeymoon-period guide.

I seem to be having an exceptionally bad run of luck with exploration. Pirates are everywhere and I'm losing crew members faster than I can get off an aimed shot. Not to mention that the goods found are bringing in virtually no profit since I am spending so much to heal my away teams. You might have to buy some disposable red-shirt soldiers and keep a few high level ones for training and getting the real damage off. Then you just heal the favorites and let the rest die off. On the other hand, that's a little complicated for those just getting into the game. That might be a tutorial strategy. Sorry, just thinking in text. can't stop thinking of Galaxy Quest's "crewman #6" references

Idea of a rumor being randomly released between turn 200 - 1000 of Xeno seen in our (or near our) sector, which can be the trigger for higher tensions/stakes/no more mr nice guy mode in the game. Just a thought.

Added a small blurb about trading. I'll definitely fill it out more later, but for now it's just got my two go-to trades, one safe and one for money.

Not sure if it is the map or setup or what, but my local contacts kept offering deferred payment for 5 straight missions.... in short, i went broke. Sad, cold day in space tonight.

Sad, cold day in space tonight. <whimper> I know the feeling. I've taken to just skipping missions missions until up pops something that is 'payment on delivery' with the delivery someplace close when cash reserves get low.

Most definitely, the deferred payment missions seem to pay out a larger lump (at least in my experience), but you have to be able to absorb pretty much all of the expenses up front. Makes for a tough mission in the early game. Maybe I should mention something about avoiding them until you get some capital built up.

Every mission is deferred payment, even after completion. Yuck. Tried 2 different captains 3 different factions, but only as a merchant so far.

EZ Mission mode was a stop gap measure to ease some pain for players. The mission selection engine is getting overhauled. A smoother curve will be offered past the EZ mode. Just, not ready yet.

Plus the removal of the 'jumps cost twice as much fuel' bug
