Viewing crew combat buffs

I cannot view combat buffs during crew combat. They are happening because there is a 'green cloud' when the buff is applied during the initiative phase and the diamond symbol appears under the person.  Pressing on the diamond symbol has no efffect; I am anticipating something similar to the combat buff screen in ship-to-ship combat?
