Share your strategies on Bounty Hunting and other combat focused endeavors here.
For me, I like to build my BH captains with BH/Commander/Navigator jobs. They give a nice stack of Navigation, Rifles, and Command/Intimidate skill points. I also like to have an E-tech Officer spec into Spy and Exo-Scout, so that no matter where a bounty hides, we can sniff them out. It's also important to have well trained and equipped patrolmen, because marks need to be taken down in Urban and Wild zones in crew combat, so I usually put my early funds towards an improved Weapon Locker, while securing improved weapons for my Captain and the Officer leading the combat team, and using the funds from missions to secure other higher power weapons for the rest of the patrol team.
As for my ship, seeing as a lot more bounties are planetside now, I don't focus on upgrading it as much, but I usually spec as a medium range warship, with Railguns or Lances getting upgrades. I normally replace the starting autocannon with a Prison cell, if the ship doesn't already have it.

Prison cells work right now. BH is almost exclusively Crew Combat right now too, so have plenty of Soldiers. |

I bought the top of the line ship, the very biggest one, and hired lots of fighter-sorts. But even at a Legendary Shipyard, selecting each component one-by-one I cannot find one that I can remove to put a prison cell in. What did you do? Or do I have the wrong sort of ship?

grävling - there is no limitation on putting a Prison Cell on any ship. You just need to replace a small component.

I am flying a Cautela Heavylift.
I have a free officer slot.
Officer Cabins are small.
I select one of them to replace. No prison cell is offered.
Hellfire Torpedoes are small.
I select one of them to replace. No prison cell is offered.

Indeed I have run down everything, small medium or large, and never does a prison cell option pop out.
Please tell me something that is known to work. I suspect I am not even seeing them here.

Also, having an Edict will have an impact on this price soon. Yes, Weapon Lockers = very important for fighters! |
