Must apologise myself but this has been an ongoing frustration for me specifically how those skills show up on the status screen and how non job bonus skills get displayed on both status and officers character sheets. Not saying the rules for their implementation needs changed just need to have clear idea of how and when those skills are used and a big part of that is having them get displayed in an understandable format readily available to the player. That said I realise the UI is largely a work in progress so will try harder in future not to gripe/vent about it as you've got so much else that needs your attention. (Note that last was not meant in a disparaging way, you've created something amazing here and as usual have been steadily making it better in ridiculously fast manner.)

We really appreciate it and apologize for the unclear answers. I myself had a misunderstanding about the display vs the rules and was spreading lies for a bit. We got everyone pretty confused.

The latest iteration of the ship skill rules are looking good, thank you for finding time to keep them updated. For me, the explanation of how the strong/weak dice pools for ship skills are generated is excellent and really nails what I need to be aiming for to run my ship and manage the skills/components mix.
Would it be possible to get a similar style explanation of how the strong/weak dice pools are generated for the personal ship oriented skills please?
